There are so many challenges that come along with being a parent. It’s a full-time job, and kids of all ages are just so unpredictable, you never quite know what you’re going to have to deal with next.
Even when you take all the proper precautions and make great efforts to keep your kids safe and under control, they can still find ways to surprise you, as this mom found out while watching her adorable twins.
The mom had gone to the trouble of installing a baby gate to keep the twins, a boy and a girl, safely in place with their toys, but one of them just wasn’t content in his ‘playroom prison’.
The little boy started fiddling around with the latch on the gate, using all his strength and dexterity to slowly push it open.
When mom saw what he was trying to do, she pulled out the camera and started to film the scene, but she probably wasn’t expecting him to bust out so easily!
Within moments, the gate is open and the boy’s sister is already crawling as fast as her little arms and legs will carry her towards the whole new world of the hallway.
It’s actually a little worrying how easy it seemed for the boy to open the baby gate, as those things are designed to be quite strong and secure. Luckily, mom was around to keep an eye on the kids, even after their ‘not so great’ escape.
The little girl clearly understands the concept of ‘ladies first’ already and rushes past her brother through the opening and into the hall.
Meanwhile, mom bursts out laughing and says “You two, I don’t think you’re supposed to be back there!”
The two adorable little infants then start crawling at super speed down the hallway. There are a few doors to choose from, and it seems like the little ones can’t believe all the space they suddenly have to explore and discover!
So, at around the 34 second mark of the video, instead of sticking together and picking one of the rooms to enter, they decide to split up!
The little girl carries sprint-crawling all the way down the hall to one of the rooms beyond, while the boy turns right into the first open doorway he sees. Again, mom behind the camera can’t stop laughing and says “I’m not sure about this!” as she watches the little ones separate.
At one humorous moment near the end, we also see the little girl turn around and look right at the camera!
It’s like she knows that her escape plan wasn’t so successful after all, but she’s determined to make the most of her freedom, no matter how long it lasts.
It’s a super cute clip and has been viewed more than 650,000 times already over on YouTube.
