Baby milestones. Perhaps some of the happiest, proudest moments of mom and dad’s lives. The little bundle of joy is basically a fresh, blank page of a human being whose pages are going to get filled with unpredictable moments. That’s why new parents always have their phones and cameras ready.

Like this ten week old baby girl! you can clearly hear her daddy talking to her, coaxing her to speak.

One viewer commented,

“She was definitely mimicking the sounds, you could see her trying, her parents obviously spend a lot of time with her which is unusual and such a good omen for her happiness and well being. Way to go parents!”

So true. A baby’s developmental milestones take on more meaning when both parents are there. The emotional, psychological, and even physiological progress of a baby are directly tied to his or her parents for the simple fact that mommy and daddy are the child’s first teachers.

Listen to dad. He’s got the sweetest voice for his little daughter as he goes,

“Can you say, I love you? I love you?”

The baby coos with her lovely eyes just looking up at her daddy. She does go on to sound off what seemed like an “I love you” to mom’s surprise and delight. That sure melted both hearts!

As a matter of fact, parents should still be a child’s best teacher all throughout life. Children are goal-directed in a way that what they see, they will imitate until they experience a fulfillment of sorts. They move on then to the next goal as they explore and learn life with guidance and support from mom and dad.

At ten weeks old, this baby girl’s senses are very much alive and sensitive to all the sensations. They respond to music, to gentle touches, and even make faces (and cry) at odd smells and sounds.

Why do you think infant toys are brightly colored while producing sounds? Anything from light music, to rattling or tingling, are sure to get a baby’s attention.

Notice how this precious baby girl is moving her arms and legs while listening to her dad? She’s responding to the sound of her dad’s voice. The little one is also trying to process those sounds in her mind. What’s this big man saying to me?

She stretches and kicks her legs, babbles and coos, watches her dad closely, and is trying to imitate the sounds she hears. Look at how focused and determined she is! What a darling!

Another viewer said,

“I think she actually said I love you twice and the second time more clear. Such a cute and intelligent baby.”

She may be right. Listen again and it does seem like she said it twice. Smart girl!
