Never, ever leave a kid alone in a room. You’re asking for a mess, an accident, or worse – a bad haircut.
Once that child sees a pair of scissors or anything they can use to cut their hair, they’ll use it. And the results are never good.

To mom’s horror, her daughter’s lovely locks had a very odd and specific bald spot.
It wasn’t the little girl’s fault though. Big brother just wanted to help her get ready for school.
2. She went for the reverse mohawk
This is the face of instant regret. The good news is it’ll grow back. The bad news is that she’ll remember this moment forever.
It’s got that whole 80s punk bully vibe, so all he needs now is a leather jacket and a bike.
Or maybe a hat to cover up that mess.
At least he knows how to aim with those scissors. Now all the kid needs is a shave for the rest of his head.
Her mom says the little one was going for Caillou (the annoying, bald cartoon character). So mom made her cover up with a headband and that’s the reason for the sad face.
6. It doesn’t work that way
The idea was there, and the theory was sound but… Hey at least he could play some sort of villain.
You’ve got to channel all that regret and anger somehow.
7. Sucks being the youngest
And it’s hard to say if he’s annoyed or happy. That’s what happens with an older brother around. Imagine the laughs they all had before mom showed up.
Mom says he just wanted to look like his dad so the kid went ahead and proceeded to start shaving. If dad’s a soldier, then keep going, kid!
9. Not quite what he envisioned
Another attempt at a reverse mohawk.
Dad’s face says it all and big brother’s already thinking of the many insults he can throw.
Poor pouting kid, but it doesn’t look that bad.
A few more trims here and there and it could be a stylish bob.
Now that’s a smile we all want to see. She did her best and she loves it.
If he was trying to signal some sort of life form, he must have succeeded. Or maybe it was a fly. At least he’s happy.
13. Sweet dreams sweet prince
According to mom, this kid was supposed to be brushing his teeth before bed until they heard a faint buzzing.
It was dad’s beard trimmer.
At such a young age, he understands the need to look snappy for women. He just needs a bit more practice. He’ll be a looker for sure!
15. Giving mom a heart attack
Mom was so proud of his hair that she even bragged to her friends about it. Well, that is until the kid came downstairs with his self-made hairstyle.
Those aren’t tire tracks though. But it does have an abstract sort of vibe to it. It may be this kid’s start in the world of art.
Poor kid cut her hair since it was all in her face. She claims to have used the kids’ scissors.
And to think they were scheduled for a family photo 2 hours later!
Little Jackson wanted to look good for the family photo, so he shaved his eyebrows using his dad’s nose hair trimmers.
Still has a handsome smile though, doesn’t he?
These kids really do have a certain affinity for the 80s. It’s actually adorable and it’s a wonder she didn’t cut herself with the end result.
20. Like an escaped sheep
Maybe he didn’t want anyone to know that he’s Batman. Or perhaps he had enough of his thick locks so he decided to take matters into his own hands. Like Batman.
21. Almost too independent
It’s not like dads can say no to their daughters. Not unless dad had no clue as to what his little princess was up to. That’s one way of upsetting mom.
Why risk missing a part of the game because of bangs? If you’re cheering for your favorite team, you want to see all the action all the time!
All it takes is a little creativity and a lot of positivity. Turn that frown into a smile and teach her that horrible situations can have beautiful endings.
Not sure what he was going for but it looks like he changed his mind halfway through. A little editing work could transform that spot into a superhero logo.
25. Freedom of expression
Very punk-rock. And that little smile does work for this kid’s look. Get him a guitar or drumsticks and let’s see what he’s got!
