The Kosinki family celebrates six birthdays on Feb. 28. That’s because they have three sets of twins.

They were all born on Feb. 28. One set in 2013, another in 2014, and in 2016.

“There is never a dull moment in my house,” mom Carrie Kosinki told People.

It all started when an acquaintance reached out to Craig and Carrie Kosinki asking them to adopt her unborn baby.

They agreed and later found out that she was having twins.

“She said she was pregnant and wasn’t able to give the babies the lives they deserved and wanted to put them up for adoption,” Carrie told TODAY.

The Wisconsin couple planned to have their own biological children but put those plans on hold to take in the twins and make plans to adopt them.

The Kosinkis had legal guardianship of the twins Adalynn and Kenna by the time they were 3-months-old.

A year later, their mom reached out to the Kosinkis again and asked if they would be willing to adopt the twins’ older siblings, JJ and CeCe, who were also twins that were also born via C-section.

Again, the Kosinkis agreed. The Kosinkis later found out in 2015 that they were expecting their own set of twins via in vitro fertilization.

Carrie told Inside Edition:

“We were very shocked. We were like ‘oh my God we are going to have three sets of twins. What are we going to do with ourselves?'”

Still, they were extremely happy to have two more children.

It was nothing short of a miracle since the Kosinkis had tried multiple times to get pregnant and were told by a doctor that it wouldn’t be possible since Carrie had severe endometriosis, according to AmoMama.

Carrie’s biological twins were supposed to be born on June 12, 2016, however, her water broke at 19 weeks. She had to have an emergency C-section on Feb. 28.

Carrie said:

“We only have to remember the same birthday, which is nice, but they are probably going to hate it when they’re older.”

While Craig and Carrie’s children all have a lot in common, they are very much individuals.

“They are all very different. Each has their very own personality, which is very fun, but we get pulled in six different directions,” she said

Carrie said that having two more twins was “really easy” since she already had a schedule and system of organization in place.

Carrie explained:

“It’s such a huge blessing to us. We love all our children the same. We wouldn’t want our lives to be any different.”

As if having three sets of twins wasn’t difficult enough, the Kosinskis decided to have more even children.

The couple went on to have a son that was born on Feb. 27 six hours short of his sibling’s birthday.

They later had a daughter too.

The family lives on a 40-acres farm with lots of animals. Inside Edition did a story about the family which was viewed more than 2.3 million times on YouTube.
