Even Shonda Rhimes, the famous producer, is struggling with homeschooling. Seems like teachers should be getting the celebrity wage! Don’t you think?

If you want to hide the fact that you ate a 7-year-old’s candy, the sure-fire trick is complete and utter confusion. After you’ve blown their mind with odd questions and answers, they’ll be too distracted to think about the missing candy. At least for a second.

For many parents at home right now, this one is going to hit hard. Have you ever looked at your kid and wondered how they became so much like you? Yeah, it’s a blessing and a curse, isn’t it?

Parents have a new-found respect for teachers now that they are stuck with their kids all day. Do kids whine and complain this much at school? Or are they just playing the “she’s not my teacher, she’s my mom” card?

Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest are inundated with ways to stay “busy” during the quarantine. But sometimes, those posts and blogs can make you feel like you’re not doing enough. Do you know what have to say about that? Screw that. You’re doing great.

Oh, yes. Our 20s. What a glorious time that nearly every youthful soul takes for granted. We were energetic, had great skin, the entire world was at our fingertips. And then – life happened. This kid quickly got on their mom’s ranking scale thanks to this comment.

For some people, work is a place of solitude and escape from a chaotic and loud household. This pandemic has really rocked everyone’s world and we’re sure that some people aren’t that pumped about it. Talk about an eye-opener.

Now, this would be a proud parent moment right here. In times of abrupt change, sometimes you just want to curl up with some Cheez-It crackers. We get it. She gets it.

Kids these days need to worry and think about things that many of us would never have imagined. Like school shootings, for example. This parent had a sobering moment when her daughter casually slid this into the conversation.

We all had big plans at the beginning of this stay-at-home order, but it wasn’t long before those plans went flying out the window. Now, it’s like, schedule? What schedule? It’s free.

Kids can be…well…gross. This is a prime example of that. They’ve recently been taught to sneeze into the elbow if a tissue isn’t available. However, they seemed to have thought that it meant anyone’s elbow.

Parents that have suddenly become teachers and full-time ‘house managers’ have a lot to tackle. Especially if they’re working from home too. Just keep telling yourself it’ll be over soon. Because it will. Maybe not soon. But soon.

This little girl has no shame in her game when it comes to stealing her mom’s phone charger right in front of her face. The confidence is too admirable to scold. She’s right – she’s been beaten.

Kids, teens, and young adults don’t seem to be taking this virus very seriously. Here is a prime example of that. Have we messed up as parents or are they just not getting it?

As we said earlier, kids are gross. As we also said earlier, kids are oblivious. This brings us to our next tweet that is both cringe-worthy and true.

Parents, it’s your fault. It’s all your fault. The washing of the hands. The no school. The pandemic. The no friends. The boring times. It’s all your fault. All of this according to your kids.

Every parent needs to go check their child’s backpack right now before it’s way too late. It won’t be pretty but trust us – if you wait any longer, it’s going to get downright nasty. We feel for this mom.

Homeschooling with kids that have the attention span of…well…kids can be near impossible. Like this school setting that quickly turned into a roller skating rink. Honestly, roller skating sounds much more fun, though.

In 2020, it seems like it’s bizarro, upside-down world meets opposite day. Did you ever expect to hear these words uttered from a 5-year-old’s mouth? It’s a strange time we’re living in.

There seem to be two types of parents out there. One type is the real over-the-top go-getters that are productive and crafty all day long. Then there is the type that…well…aren’t that. And that’s 100% okay! You’re all killin’ it.

Parents, we feel you. The kids that we send off to school every day are the same kids fighting over cereal right now. We just never realized how peaceful work really was until now.

Whatever you have to do to keep the positivity high in the household – do it. Cheering for no apparent reason at all? Go for it! Nothing is off the table in this day in age.

Parents can take this time to teach their children about the “olden days”. You know…like the 70s and 80s. If they only knew the struggle of writing a well-researched paper back in the day. They have it so darn easy.

There are all sorts of hilarity going on here. First and foremost, we must know what his plans are today. They’re clearly involving something that means being somewhat “bad”. We’re so curious. And second, we appreciate his planning for the future.

Each parent has their strengths and weaknesses. Apparently, dad’s strength is math and his weakness is overcommunication. Even though mom might not be the best at math, she’s just easier to listen to and that’s fair enough.

These ‘stay-at-home’ days are tough. Finding the motivation to do anything can be hard for some people. And the urge to go out and socialize is real. So, sometimes? It just feels easier to stay at home and wait it out.

Netflix needs to get it together and stop asking us if we’re “still watching”. Of COURSE we’re still watching! It’s a pandemic home lockdown! Just keep it rollin’, Netflix. Keep it rollin’.

This mom is a strong woman. She can handle pretty much whatever you throw at her. Of course, unless, that thing is a knock-knock joke. Then that’s a hard no.

Kids are spoiled these day. Need proof? Read this tweet. They think food just seems to fall from the sky and into their mouths at every beckoned call.

If you’re lucky enough to still have a job, hopefully, you’re able to work from home (shout out to all the essential workers and healthcare peeps out there!). However, if you have kids – it can be…difficult to say the least. At least this mom knows how to make fun of the situation.

Is it just us or did math change? When we were growing up, there was a different way of doing math and it seemed to work just fine. Now, kids are learning all sorts of weird ways to do the math, and we parents are left totally out of the loop when it comes to understanding or teaching it.

Really take advantage of this time to turn household chores into a necessary part of their curriculum. Who knows? This could afford you more “me time” than you thought.

This dad tried his best to avoid the ‘stay-at-home parent’ responsibilities, but unlucky for him, his family isn’t buying any of it. Nice try, dad. Nice try.

Homeschool math is a little…different…than regular school math. As you can clearly see from this example. Honestly, this method sounds much more interesting.

With all of this time at home, there can be a lot of downtimes. And with downtime comes a lot of boredom. And with kids? Boredom can lead to some very crazy, bad ideas and the poor cat gets involved.

Literally, everything is canceled right now. Unless it involves your home or the gas station, you’re not going anywhere. And it’s going to be a testing time for many households. Hang in there, everyone!

The motivation a couple of weeks ago was high. Now? Not so much. The days seem to go on longer and longer and we have no official end in sight. Stay strong out there, parents!

Your kids are certainly not going to behave the same way at home as they would at school. Which may or may not make you want to bring your child’s neck. It’s okay to admit it. We won’t judge.

Just because a teacher is a parent themself, doesn’t mean that they’re at home being “teacher” all the time. They’re just like every other parent right now. Exhausted and holding onto sanity with a thread.

This mom of four is feeling really proud right about now…in the most sarcastic way. But at the same time? It seems like it’s kids being kids and college boys being college boys. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

We don’t know how they do it but kids are professionals when it comes to being oblivious to the volume of their voice. Screaming seems to be perfectly acceptable. But if an adult is loud? They’ll hear it and they’ll call you out.

If your toddler seems to deflect your direct questioning with an “I love you, mommy,” something is wrong. Something is very, very wrong. Especially if it involves water.

Who knew that we’d all have to be our kids’ math teachers for weeks on end? Fractions? Are you kidding? Long division? You can’t be serious. Thank goodness for YouTube and Google.
