If you’re a parent, you’re probably familiar with the child-themed megastore Babies ‘R’ Us. For anyone not in the know, the store is related to Toys ‘R’ Us, another retail chain for kids offering all the toys one could imagine. Still, even if you are familiar with these stores, you might not know about one of their special events that can help parents all around the country.

The event, of course, is the Babies ‘R’ Us Annual trade-in!

The trade-in event began on February 11th for loyalty card members—for others, it begins on February 16th and runs until March 18th.

The way it works is that parents can bring in their old baby gear (select brands apply, of course) and trade it in for 25% off of a new piece of baby furniture or similar gear. That discount is an even higher 30% for those who have a Babies ‘R’ Us credit card as well! For more specific details on what’s available, be sure to visit the company’s website for a full rundown.

As an added bonus, this year also allows parents to trade in toddler cribs and mattresses!

The store has also added a wide range of additional benefits as well.

Unlike past years, the store has also decided to accept baby clothes and shoes on their trade-in list. Those who donate clothing will earn themselves a 25% discount on a new in-store clothing purchase. Additionally, the store has also decided to work with local charities to make sure the old donated clothing finds appropriate new uses.

Finally, those who don’t have anything to trade in can also take advantage of this event.

Customers who go online during the sale can still get 15% off baby furniture or baby gear (also available in person). Finally, those who want an idea of what they can turn in, the store is accepting:

  • car seats
  • bouncers
  • car seat bases
  • bassinets
  • clothing
  • clothing accessories
  • cribs
  • cribs/toddler mattresses
  • entertainers
  • infant chairs
  • infant swings
  • high chairs
  • jumpers
  • strollers
  • toddler and twin beds
  • walkers
  • pop ’n plays
  • shoes

Be sure to check out the website for a complete list! As all parents know, having a baby can be expensive—after all, all the necessary baby accessories start to add up after a while! Fortunately, this event offers a helping hand to all the thrifty parents out there.
