There are certain sounds in this world that are good for the soul. Many feel soothed by the crashing waves of the ocean, while others enjoy listening to a wind chime, or rain hitting the roof. Another sound that’s known for lifting spirits is a baby’s laughter.

If you’re someone whose heart melts every time you hear an infant giggle – prepare to be left in a puddle. That’s because the video below has not only one giggling baby, but two! It’s a double-dose of cuteness that might just brighten your day.

Growing up with a sibling can be a lot of fun, as it means you’ve always got someone to play with. And if you’ve got a twin? Well, that’s gotta be a blast!

One mom hit record after noticing how much fun her four-month-old twin boys were having together. The video is so adorable it’s been watched millions of times online.

Who needs toys when you got a twin?

The twin babies are hanging out in the living room together while mom films. There are toys around, but it seems like they don’t need anything more than each other. One’s sitting on the floor looking down at his brother, and they’re both full of giggles and smiles.

Okay… What’s so funny?

The baby who’s sitting up gets distracted for a moment looking off to the side. However, as soon as their eyes meet again, it’s as if his twin just told a joke that we can’t hear. They giggle and it’s like music to the ears!

Even without words, it’s as if they’re sweetly communicating.

The little guy laying on the floor is full of happy sounds and appears to be enjoying using his voice. On the other hand, his brother seems to be enjoying listening to it.

Interestingly, approximately 40% of twins end up developing their own special language (called an autonomous language). Typically though, it disappears not long after – once an actual language is learned.

They already have quite the brother bond.

Seeing how the baby boys look and touch each other makes it seem as if they’re already best buds. From what research shows, their social interactions began early in the womb.

According to Scientific American, researchers from the University of Parma and the University of Turin conducted a study (published in PLoS ONE) where they monitored five sets of fetuses. In the end, they discovered that unborn twins start reaching towards each other at around week 14 of gestation, with their interactions increasing over time.

Watching these two babies giggle is contagious.

It’s near impossible to watch these little guys and not break out into a huge smile. Sometimes it’s just the simple moments of life that are the most beautiful, and this mom was lucky to have captured one of them on film.

Mom decided to share the clip of their baby boys online, and we’re really glad she did.

In the YouTube video description, she wrote:

“we’re not sure what they find so funny about each other. They were about 4 months old. it’s our favourite obviously. We love how their eyes wander and every time they make eye contact they start to laugh.”
