Daddies and daughters who are close will have memorable conversations throughout their lifetime.
Whether it be about the little things when she’s small, or bigger topics when she’s older – each conversation together is special in its own way.
One man’s “conversation” with his baby was captured on camera and it’s warming the internet’s heart. On top of it being precious, it’s also pretty funny too. Just wait until you hear all she has to say to her daddy!
This girl might be just a baby, but she’s also got a lot on her mind.
The adorable scene takes place in the backseat of the family’s vehicle. While sitting in her car seat, the baby turns to her dad (who’s sitting next to her) to unload everything she’s got bottled up. Fortunately, mom had turned on the camera to film it all.
She goes a million miles a minute.
You know when you’re beyond excited about something and it’s hard to hold it all in? Well, it seems like this is what the baby is feeling in the video. The only problem is, she can’t fully talk quite yet…in English anyway! Instead, this kid’s developed a language all of her own.
Dad listens intently as his daughter goes off about something that we’re not really sure of (but it sounds intriguing). Being polite, he nods his head and raises his eyebrows to show he’s engaged. Good job, Dad!
It’s hard to keep a straight face listening to the baby’s rant, so it’s not surprising that dad can’t either. Did this girl sneak a cappuccino into her bottle?
Eventually, mom gives a little clue of what she might be so enthusiastic about. She asks, “Do you remember who was all there, Lucas, Lilly?”
Ahh, perhaps she went to a playgroup and is unable to resist sharing the gossip! Or, it was just that awesome she had to give dad all the details. After another few moments of jabbering, he tells her, “You might need to breathe now.”
It’s a video that’s so sweet and comical it’s been watched more than 1.4 million times since it was posted.
At one point, the baby’s mom says, “Well, you didn’t even play with your own toys.” Oh, don’t get this girl started! She then goes right back into talking at lightning speed, as if she has something to say about it.
During a baby’s first year, it’s important to encourage his or her communication skills – which can be beneficial to their development of interpersonal, reading, and writing skills, according to WebMD. This can be done through talking, smiling, reading, and singing to your child.
While it’s unclear what this baby is actually thinking or trying to relay, there’s no doubt it’s precious from beginning to end.
About a minute into the video, dad notices that his daughter is making some familiar hand gestures. Oh, he knows what she wants to do! He starts singing The Wiggles classic “Hot Potato” song and busts out the moves himself.
The baby smiles for a split-second before going back to her non-stop talking. Perhaps she’s trying to sing it herself, or maybe she’s like – don’t try and change topics dad…
