Kids about two to three years old can already exhibit their talent in dancing, creating music, and even singing.
No wonder they remember nursery rhymes so well.
Aside from popular nursery rhymes, toddlers may also start remembering other types of music, too, such as gospel songs.
This little boy’s got the spirit.
This usually happens in a household that prays and worships together.
As part of their everyday routine, children may learn, mimic, and comprehend various worship songs, praise and worship activities, and even daily devotions.
Seeing your children learning to praise the Lord and sing worship songs can be heartwarming.
This is one of those moments.
Demetrius was joyful when he heard his favorite worship song come on the radio and he started to worship and sing.
People fell instantly in love.
Everyone who viewed his short clip was in awe of the toddler’s vocal prowess and sincerity as he sang “Better than blessed,” a worship song from Louise Candy Davis.
It all started as Demetrius heard the start of the song. His eyes widened when he heard his grandmother hum to the tune of Better than blessed.
Then, the toddler sang as the song started.
His timing was perfect.
He didn’t just sing the song because he remembered the lyrics; he was worshiping. The little boy knew every word and sang the song with so much gusto.
Worshiping is a bit different from singing because you know the lyrics. It’s because when you worship, you put your soul into the song, you sing it out of love and adoration.
We can even see him trying to fix how he was seated just so he could sing better.
Can you see those eyes?
They are full of life, happiness, and determination.
This little boy was sharing how this song should be sung, and he sang it flawlessly.
The inspirational song that was playing says “I’m better than blessed” because, despite all the challenges in life, we need to see all the things that we have.
It’s a song that sends a very strong message of being content with what we have and instead of complaining, it’s better to be grateful.
It hits harder coming from a toddler.
Lydia Majette, Demetrius’ grandmother has three other grandchildren, and they too, love to sing and worship.
It just so happened that Lydia had her phone with her when this happened and she caught it on video.
It appears Lydia is very conscious of what her grandchildren listen to in the car, as Demetrius knows the lyrics by heart.
He’s the cutest little gospel singer ever.
As they grow older, they would understand the meaning of the song, and would later use this as a guide in their lives.
Let’s remember to be mindful of the music we listen to in the car, especially when we have children.
Kids can remember the lyrics, and at a young age, could even understand them.
There were many sweet comments on the video.
We can only hope this is the firs of many.
“Train a child to praise God and to love him. This child is a blessing to everyone who hears him. Brings tears of joy to my eyes every time I see him,” said one comment.
“I love his expressions and his hand movements. He’s in perfect harmony, too,” said another.
So, let’s make sure that the music that we introduce to our kids will have a positive effect on their lives.
