Isn’t it such a wonderful feeling when someone supports you through all your changes?
Could be anyone too. Parents, siblings, friends, significant other, even your boss… Okay that one’s rare. But still, for those lucky enough to have someone who fully backs their choices (good ones), the boost to one’s self-esteem is a great motivator of sorts.
What more for parents whose own kids support them?
This video posted by Collin Martin is a positive kick in the heart. He’s got the camera on his little August as he narrates that this is going to be his son’s first impressions to his mom’s new hair style.
Little August is just hanging by the porch with his daddy not quite sure what’s going on.
Here comes mom! An SUV pulls in and a woman with very pink hair is seen waving while walking towards Collin and August. But hold on, who is she? Why is she waving like someone August knows?
The little boy looks like he’s scrutinizing the approaching lady but already with a small smile on his handsome face. August may have recognized her already. Smart boy!
Look at that charming smile! Mom’s voice did it!
“Hi! Do you like my hair? Yeah? Does mama look pretty?”
August smiles and utters a sort of “Hi!” sound, scrambles to his tiny feet and makes for his mom with an outstretched arm. Kristan picks her little boy up in to her arms and lets him study her new look.
August takes his time and eventually, he breaks into a huge grin again after his dad asks if he likes mom’s new look.
“He does! Oh my gosh I thought he would cry. Well do you like it, Collin??”
Kristan gives her husband that look that all husbands know all too well.
Collin gives a “Yes.” after how many seconds. Wonder why…
Little August can’t stop smiling at his mom though. Such an adorable, enchanting smile that even mom can’t help but laugh when her little prince does so. What a supportive young man!
So why did mom color her hair? Well it’s for a Pravana contest. It is an “annual color contest on hair artistry” as stated on their Facebook page.
Little August’s reaction video has over 1.4 million views with comments like,
“He’s thinking “Wow! So much yummy cotton candy on mummy’s head”
Not sure if August finds mom’s head to be edible though but okay. He lets out a happy giggle when Kristan says “Hi!” to him as he stares at her hair looking very fascinated. Why not color the little one’s head next time?
“He probably started thinking she’s now a princess or a cartoon character, lol.”
A man named Greg Lopes commented. Now that’s actually plausible. Bright colors do attract kids. Mom spins around with a little head shake showing of her pink curls, then asking her husband,
“Look at the back! Isn’t it cool?”
Of course Collin says “Yeah.” Can you imagine the reaction if he said no? It’s true what they say. A happy wife is a happy life. Good thing Kristan gets a lot of support from Collin and August. Hope she won that Pravana contest too!
