Many of us grew up watching Sesame Street as a child and have fond memories of enjoying the show. Now we get to watch the show again as we get older and have children of our own.

The show is not only known for being entertaining for children but they also feature some amazing celebrities and performers that we adults admire.

Maya Angelou, Kristen Bell, Erykah Badu, Garth Brooks, Beyoncé, and tons of other famous people have been on that show. One celebrity guest appearance included a duet between Elmo and Italian opera singer, songwriter, and record producer Andrea Bocelli.

The appearance shows Bocelli tucking a reluctant Elmo into bed. While Bocelli insists that Elmo is tired and needs his rest, Elmo would rather stay up.

In order to help Elmo fall asleep Bocelli sings him a lullaby.

He sings him a rendition of “Con te partiró”, also known as “Time to Say Goodbye” which was made famous by Bocelli and Sarah Brightman. Elmo joins Bocelli in creating a new version of the song “Time to Say Goodnight” which changes the lyrics to tell a story about Elmo’s busy day which is now at a close.

Eventually, Elmo finally falls asleep but Bocelli’s bellowing baritone voice wakes him up when he sings the last line of the song.

Elmo begs the singer to stop his singing so he can sleep.

“Sleep, sleep,” Bocelli tells Elmo.

Bocelli’s voice is simply heavenly and something out of this world.

It touches you on a spiritual level that you can’t put into words but your soul recognizes. Even babies can recognize the beauty of this. When little Abriel was watching the episode of Sesame Street he became overwhelmed with emotion over the beauty of Bocelli’s voice.
