Kids typically mimic what they see and hear.

That’s what it’s so important for parents to be careful about the things they say and do in front of their kids. One mom recently shared a video of her daughter acting like her, and it’s adorable.

In the video, Teri O’Neill is pregnant – very pregnant – and she needs to waddle when she walks just to be comfortable.

Her 15-month-old daughter Olivia has noticed how mommy walks and attempts to walk just like her. Her mom videotaped her as she waddled around their home with a silly laugh.

Most women reach a point in pregnancy where they can no longer walk normally. It’s a different point for every woman, but most deal with it the same way. When your legs, hips, ankles, and just about every other part of your body hurts, you will do whatever it takes to get through the day, even if it means waddling.

Teri might need to take a seat to laugh at her young daughter who finds her mom’s new walk hilarious.

In the video, Olivia can be seen pushing her stomach out and waddling side to side and she walks around.

Teri asks, “How does Mama walk?”

Olivia is happy to show her. Even when she is in the middle of playing with her dog, she takes the time to make fun of her mom a little bit. Teri shared the video of her little girl mocking her on YouTube. Everyone seems to love the cute video, and many moms can probably relate.

A lot of moms struggle with hip pain during pregnancy, and for good reason.

According to the American Pregnancy Association:

“Hip pain during pregnancy is a common symptom that you may experience. This discomfort is most often felt late in pregnancy, specifically during the third trimester. This occurs because your body is preparing itself for labor. Soreness and pain are often felt the strongest on the side where the baby tends to lie in your uterus.

“During pregnancy, your body releases hormones that allow connective tissue to relax and soften. As a result of this, the joints and ligaments between the bones in your pelvis will begin to loosen.

“Increasing flexibility in these bones is imperative for allowing the baby to move through your body during labor. Lower back pain as well as changes in posture and a heavier uterus may contribute to the soreness you feel.”

Luckily, there are a few things you can do to help reduce the pain and pressure on your hips.

These things include:

  • Sleeping with a pillow between your knees.
  • Wearing a prenatal belt to help support your stomach.
  • Sleeping with your legs propped up.
  • Resting as much as possible.
  • Stretching the leg and hip muscles.
  • Sleeping on a pregnancy pillow or mattress.
  • Asking a doctor about safe pain management options.

Being pregnant is tough on mom, but when she has a little girl as funny as this to keep her laughing, it makes things like hip and back pain a little easier to tolerate. Hopefully, this momma was able to hang in there until it was time to deliver her baby.

We can only hope the new baby is just as silly as the big sister.

Teri will definitely have her hands full, but hopefully, she finds the time to take out her phone and capture some more funny moments with her kids. Big sister Olivia is going to be a big help when she watches her mom feed and take care of the baby and decides she is going to copy her with that, too.
