Cuteness alert! Meet the adorable little girls Isabella and Gabriella, fraternal twin sisters and just about eight months old. As you can see, Isabella and Gabriella aren’t identical twins. They certainly do look alike but have different skin colors.
Mom Clementine Shipley wanted to share some pictures online of her beautiful babies, and the twins quickly became internet stars.
“We have received a ton of love from our posts,” Clementine told to Essence.
Mom created an own Instagram account for her children named “Little Strong Girls”, where she posts pictures and videos of her two-year-old daughter Angelina and the twins. At the time of writing, over 40,000 people follow the daily lives of these adorable girls.
“Isabella is a calm baby and super laid back. She giggles whenever you stare at her and loves to be tickled. Gabriella started crawling at 5 months as has not stopped moving since. She is a smiling ball of energy and loves to snuggle,” a proud mom told.
The adorable pictures of the twins went viral and Clementine and her husband received a ton of positive comments.
Unfortunately, some people also harassed them because one has a lighter skin than the other, but the parents do mention that the positive reactions definitely outweigh the negative. Plenty of people also adored their beautiful grey eyes, which apparently run in the family.
“It has been an amazing reception sharing our babies online, it really shows how amazing Black genes are since we can create such unique babies. We have received a ton of love from our posts. Most people have showered them with positivity.
Of course, there have been a few negative comments as well, but that comes with the territory. From time to time we’ve run into negative comments about Gabriella’s color, if she’s loved and if she considered beautiful because of her darker complexion. Also, some people think they must be mixed but they are African-American, gray eyes run in our family so two of our three children have them, once again showing how amazing African-American genes are.”
Angelina, the older sister who is now two years old, was absolutely elated when she could welcome Isabella and Gabriella into the family.
“Our oldest Angelina is doing great as a big sister, from the day she met the twins she wanted to hold and hug them,” Clementine told. “Angelina has been the youngest for a long time in an all-girl family, so I think she was happy to be able to help take care of the babies. Sometimes she is a little rough when trying to play with them, so we have to monitor that,” she said. “But overall, she is a wonderful big sister.”
