9-yr-old can’t ignore condition of strangers gravesite so he stops mom so he can handle it
As mom was walking with her son through a cemetery she never expected her son to take so much interest in one particular gravesite that stood out.

Unlike most places that people just feel the need to keep clean and decent-looking, cemeteries are often not taken good care of.

Everyone has watched at least one horror movie in which the cemetery shown in it is full of spider webs or fallen leaves from the surrounding trees.

If you thought that this is just a way the director invented to prepare the viewers for what is about to happen, this might not be the only reason.

Several graves are actually clean and taken care of, but many others are kind of forgotten or at least they look as if they are.

This is what a 9-year-old boy noticed the other day, when he was walking by the local cemetery with his mom going to visit a friend who lives nearby.

As the boy’s mother, Kym Watson, said:

“We were walking to my friends house and my son was interested in reading the graves and this grave really stood out to him as it was a one year old boy who passed away. Every time we walked [past] many of the grave stones had flowers but this one didn’t,” the mother explained.

It seems that the grave that stood out because it didn’t have any flowers around and it was quite dirty was originally meant for a baby only 1 year and 9 months old.

“In loving memory of a dearly loved son, Francis Conway, who fell asleep October 9, 1942, aged 1 year 9 months” reads the tombstone.

Although neither the boy, Corey, nor his family has any connection to the family the grave belongs to, the 9-year-old felt the need to tidy it up a little.

“So he wanted to buy flowers we went to Tesco and he chose the brightest flowers there was. We got to the grave yard and we notice that it was covered it branches pine cones and bits of rubbish so he tidied it up as much as he could,” Corey’s mother added.

Once the boy had finished taking care of that grave, he noticed that there were others that had no flowers around them and had not been attended to, so he realized it would make him really happy to take care of them as well.

“So once a fortnight we are going to the grave yard and cleaning up a grave stone at a time. He has also said if there is anybody who can’t attend there loved one graves he is happy to help clean it up and even buy flowers,” Corey’s mom said.

Kym posted on a local Facebook group about her son’s deed, and the boy’s act of kindness was praised by hundreds of people.

“That’s so very kind and such a thoughtful boy. You’re an angel,” someome wrote, while another user commented: “He’s a very caring boy with loads of compassion.”
