She’s strong and fierce
Chief Adderley spoke about Journee’s bravery in a news conference about the attack. He was truly impressed by her actions and her fearlessness. “I wouldn’t recommend that you confront an individual like that but in the heat of the moment things happen. I bet he was shocked when she kicked him right in the face because he definitely could tell on the video that he was not expecting that, and her actions were perfect timing in this particular situation, and I think she hit him pretty hard.” – Chief Adderley
Spreading her story
The Palm Beach Police Dept. shared photos from the news conference on their Facebook page. Journee is seen showing off her muscles to the crowd of reporters. The Facebook post included the caption, “Chief Adderley honored a 9-year old child today for bravery as she ran to her mother’s defense to fend off a brazen robber. An #arrest was swiftly made in this case. The West Palm Beach Police Foundation presented the child with a token of appreciation.”
Future Officer?
Journee may have herself a career in law enforcement judging by the looks of her moves on the security camera footage. She also looks pretty comfortable during her tour of the police station. She got to sit on a motorcycle and take photos with officers. The smile on her face says it all.
