Do you have unforgettable memories with your siblings when you were still kids? Can you think of the funniest thing that you did together?
The best thing about siblings is the memory-making starts early.
There are really a lot of stories that we can tell about our childhood, especially those that we have shared with our beloved brothers or sisters.
Unlike the relationship that we have with our friends, the one that we have with our siblings is extra special.
The love of a big brother or sister is like nothing else.
We may have done some foolish things with them or something really clever, just like what this brother and sister did in this adorable video.
These clever siblings are quite the team.
Children look at things in their simplest forms but whenever they face a hurdle, they can always come up with a way to overcome it. They may not be critical thinkers but they are absolutely smart despite their age.
An escape plan.
The video starts with the little sister, Vivi, trying to get her brother’s attention while she’s inside her crib. When she has her brother Levi’s eyes and ears, she then tells him what she wants:
“I want to lay down in your bed right there while taking my baby.”
To which her big brother responds with a huge question:
“AGAIN lay in bed?!”
When it almost sounds like he’s not going to agree to Vivi’s plan, Levi quickly gives her the green light. Then together, they lay out the smartest escape plan ever!
Obviously, jumping out of the crib is not a wise thing to do. Thankfully, there’s something in the room that will aid them in their endeavor.
A small chair is there to save the day.
Levi grabs the little stool and puts it beneath the crib where Vivi’s going to land. As soon as he places it, big brother goes back to bed and watches his little sister do her thing.
When she sees her struggling to climb down, he asks her:
“Do you need help?”
The brave girl answers:
“No, I got it by myself.”
How’s that for a cute little girl? It still looks pretty scary as she might fall with just one wrong move.
Thankfully, Vivi’s able to get out of the crib – safe and sound. But as soon as she’s out, she instantly says:
“Oh! I forgot my binky!”
Big brother chuckles on the side, then Vivi snatches a cloth-like thing in the crib then goes straight to Levi’s bed, but then he tells her:
“But that’s not a blanket, that’s PJ’s.”
He then decides to go get binky, now it’s his turn to climb the crib and get out after. Levi then grabs the doll in the crib, but wait, isn’t binky a blanket? We’re now confused.
Is binky a what or a who?
Whatever or whoever it may be, one thing is certain, Vivi can’t sleep without her binky.
Levi’s able to get the baby doll and they eventually go back to big brother’s bed. Their teamwork paid off!
According to Encyclopedia on Early Childhood Development, having a good relationship with siblings impacts a child’s development:
“The sibling relationship is a natural laboratory for young children to learn about their world. It is a safe and secure place to learn how to interact with others who are interesting and engaging playmates, to learn how to manage disagreements, and to learn how to regulate both positive and negative emotions in socially acceptable ways.”
In Levi and Vivi’s case, it sure looks like they’re “partners in crime” and they’re able to pull off the plan perfectly this time.
