It is a couple’s dream to start and have a family.

For most couples, a child completes their family. A baby brings in an amount of joy that no one can replace.
However, some couples have difficulty conceiving.

Both men and women experience infertility due to hormonal imbalance or an unhealthy lifestyle. Many couples go through fertility tests, infertility treatments, and procedures to conceive.
Then, some parents opt for adoption.

Most treatments can cost a lot, and not all couples can afford them. It doesn’t mean that adoption won’t cost anything, though. It costs around $50,000 if you go through an adoption agency.
But in the United States, there is what people call ‘private adoption.’

According to the BBC, private adoption is when an adoptive parent seeks a birth mother looking to get their baby adopted. An attorney would then formalize the agreement.
Samantha and David Stewart hoped that social media could help them start their family.

After years of trying, the couple decided to try adoption. They sought help from an adoption agency, where they suggested that the couple could create a social media account so birth mothers could scan through their profile, and hopefully, they’d get a match.
Heeding the agency’s advice, they created an Instagram account: @findingbabystewart.

It did not take long until they had a connection. “Are you looking to adopt still?” the person on the other end sent this message. Sam scanned through her Instagram account. The woman claimed to be someone named Ashley, a 16-year-old from Atlanta, Georgia.
Sam and Dave were ecstatic that they called their parents for this great news.

They cried tears of joy because they were finally getting the blessing they had hoped for. Sam and Ashley exchanged messages, and everything went well. They were excited for the baby to come out.
After a few days, Ashely suddenly became very abusive.

She kept telling Sam that she would become a bad mother. Sam stopped replying and thought this was not going to work. A month after, Ashley suddenly sent a message persuading Sam that she prematurely gave birth to a baby girl.
Just when Sam was already over the moon about the news, Ashley blocked her on Instagram.

It turns out there was no baby at all. Ashley won’t answer their calls, and that’s when the couple realized they’d been scammed. And no, it’s not even about the money.
“They don’t ask for money; they don’t ask for material things like a lot of scams do. They want your time, emotional investment, and quite frankly someone to talk to while promising you what you are desperate to find: your future child,” Sam wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post.
Their hearts were shattered. Fortunately, a blessing came just in time to heal them.

They were matched with a baby named Parker, and he gave back the joy and hoped that the couple lost from that adoption scam.
“He is the best thing that’s ever happened to us. He’s a little miracle baby. We’re very lucky. A lot of people’s stories don’t end like this,” Sam told GMA about their little Parker.
