Losing Bryttany

Bryttany Wright was a proud mother of three, with one on the way. Her cheerful and upbeat demeanor would make it seem like things were alright.

The truth was, she barely made ends meet for her kids. However, her bright optimism resonated with everyone around her. That’s why what happened after she gave birth to her fourth son was shocking.

She delivered a healthy baby boy, but the doctors kept coming in and out of her room, telling her brother Bryndon Hill and her three boys that she would be out in five minutes. The doctor kept checking on her, but she was still bleeding.

Then, the doctor came out and handed Bryndon some papers to sign. Bryttany’s eldest son said he knew at that moment – seeing that scene with his uncle and the doctor – that his mother would not make it. Bryttany passed a few minutes after.

What Family Is

Bryndon was left with a huge predicament. He was the only close relative that her sister had. With everything that happened, he knew what he had to do but thought it might be unfair to his fiancée Chloe.

However, Chloe said she completely understood what Bryndon had to do. For her, that’s what family is. So, the young couple took in all of Bryttany’s four kids for their own.

They forewent a lot of plans just to ensure the children’s adoption. They canceled their wedding and settled for a secret one instead. It sped up the adoption process. However, that’s not where their problems end.

Making Ends Meet

A young couple raising four kids would be tough. Bryndon and Chloe were only starting their life together, yet there they were – doing their best to make ends meet for the kids.

They had to provide for their daily needs, a roof that needed repair, plus the second child had health issues and would require proper medical care. It was like nothing was going right for them. But not this Christmas.

A Time to Give

KMOV St. Louis’s Surprise Squad heard of the Hill family’s story and came up with a surprise that would make them feel the spirit of Christmas and help out with their needs.

The first surprise was a year’s worth of diapers which would help the couple save a lot of money for the youngest baby. Then, the team let the entire family inside another room where presents were waiting for the kids. It was full of toys, shoes, and many more. They sure would have a very merry Christmas!

But the surprise didn’t end there. The host led Chloe to a shopping cart and let her turn it around. They also get a year’s worth of groceries from their local grocery store. What a huge savings for the couple!

However, the biggest surprise of all was all the way back home. Little did Chloe and Bryndon know that KMOV’s team was in their house in St. Louis with the contractor and construction crew already repairing their roof!

The couple was left speechless with the surprise that made it the most wonderful time of the year.
