Seven…children. Chad and Amy Kempel have SEVEN children!

And five of them are quintuplet babies.

The Kempels already had two children and wanted to add on to their family but were having fertility problems.

But eventually, Amy got pregnant with twins. However, she miscarried at 22 weeks.

Thankfully, she got pregnant again.

But this time with quintuplets. She ended up having an emergency C-section at 27 weeks. The babies spent 73 days in the NICU but were eventually sent home.

Now, the two parents would have to figure out how to manage five babies at once along with their two other small children.

Amy stayed at home with the children but Chad had to go back to work at 4 a.m. each day.

So, Chad came up with some very clever ways to make things go more smoothly when he wasn’t there to help out during the day. And help is definitely needed this family was changing five diapers every hour. Chad calls his clever contraptions and tips Quin Hacks.

Quint Hack 1: Feed System

Chad uses some pieces of wood to create a wooden stand that fits over each baby’s carrier or feeder cushion. A bottle is hung from the stand with a small chain so that the baby can drink their bottle without someone having to hold it. This way mom can feed all five babies at once within 15 minutes or so.

Quint Hack 2: Custom Table

He also built a table with high chairs built into it. This way the babies could be fed at the table all at once. It gets done a lot quicker that way.

Quint Hack 3: Van Changing Table

Chad also wanted to make traveling easier. So, he decided to retrofit the family’s van with a changing table. There is space underneath to store diapers, wipes, and extra outfits.

Quint Hack 3: Stack Outfits

Chad needed a way to make changing the babies easier. So, he now lays out all five pajama onesies on top of one another. That way you can just change one baby after another.

Chad shares all of his Quint Hacks and cool inventions on his YouTube channel which can be found here.

Just because the kids are a little bit older doesn’t mean that he’s stopped inventing.

He plans to keep on coming up with cool inventions just so he and his family can, well, survive.

“If you wanna survive this game of quintuplets then you need to look at every situation as ‘How am I going to get through this with my sanity?'” Chad explains.

And though things can get a little crazy and difficult at times, he says he wouldn’t trade it for anything.

“It’s awesome. I love having all of these kids,” he says. “It was terrifying but having them here happy and healthy now this is amazing.”

Even with all his hacks, there is one major thing that gets the Kempels through each day.

And that one thing is mom.

“When the kids are adults and they start to have children of their own I think that’s when they’ll start to truly understand what a #legend their mother is,” dad writes on the family’s Facebook page.

Hopefully, they won’t have to wait that long but he ain’t lying! That woman is a freaking superhero! Learn more about this incredible family in the video below.
