Dads do things that you’ve just got to love them for, one of those things is pep talks. This father of a brand new baby girl gives her the most adorable pep talk about crying that immediately cheers her up. Her precious little smile stole hearts all over the internet, while her dad had people cracking up.
When his newborn daughter started to cry, this dad had a pep talk with the 4-week-old baby that seems to cheer her up
As soon as he started having the pep talk with his new daughter, this man’s wife knew it was a special moment so she started recording a video. She posted it to YouTube, unaware of the dramatic response she would get.
“My husband having a daddy/daughter talk with our 4 week old, who started smiling at us at 1 week and has been smiling ever since! Loved this video of their little chat,” she captioned the post.
He started off by attempting to get to the bottom of why she was crying
The new dad jokingly begins to lecture his daughter on why she began to cry, but by the smile on her face, I don’t think she’s taking her daddy seriously. He starts the pep talk by saying:
“We need to have a conversation now. You were sitting very quietly, and all the sudden you started crying. I need to know why?”
His wife and newborn can’t help but laugh at the sarcastic dad, but he’s not done yet
Next, he doubles down on the question asking it again, but the only thing he’s doing is making his baby girl laugh. The more he lectures her, the bigger her smile gets. She even sticks out her little tongue to her daddy.
“I’m curious, can you go ahead and tell me why you’re crying? I would like to know. You can’t tell me? Your dad would like to know why you are crying? Can you tell me? Can you please tell me?” Her father continues.
He keeps the pep talk going with some more hilarious commentary:
“There is no crying, you’re an adult now almost you’re almost 4-weeks-old. There is no more crying, no more crying, you will only smile from now on. Got it? Only smiling, no crying, smiling, only smiling.” He says, as his wife bursts with laughter.
This isn’t the only video of the adorable little girl, her parents posted many other endearing moments to YouTube. In one of them the then 11-month old shows how she learned how to blow kisses. Although all the videos are cute, none went quite as viral as the daddy-daughter pep talk.

On top of the views and likes, thousands of people left comments for the daddy-daughter duo. Many people poked fun on what he had in store as a parent, like the teenage years when he’ll be the one crying.
