The world can be a scary place for a newborn baby.

Babies are used to things being comfortable, warm, and quiet in their mom’s tummy, and their abrupt introduction to the world outside of there can take some getting used to.

Since a newborn baby is already pretty familiar with their mom, it’s normally mom who can calm them down whenever they’re crying, and send them to sleep when no one else can.

But it’s not always moms who have this special power that sends their babies to sleep.

First-time dad, Cody Comer, 21, found an inventive way to send his baby daughter, Carrigan, into a deep sleep: by playing his guitar.

But to make things even more adorable, Carrigan only falls asleep when she’s nestled on top of her dad’s guitar as he plays.

The musician from Carthage, Missouri, figured out from an early age that like her daddy, Carrigan was a big fan of music.

One day, when Carrigan was in a fussy mood, Cody had a brainwave to gently lay her on top of his guitar. He then began to play the Merle Haggard classic, “Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Star.”

“I slid her up on the guitar really easily and started playing really softly,” Cody told PEOPLE. “I know she likes music so I figured it would make her fall asleep, and sure enough she went right to sleep.”

The adorable moment was captured on camera by Cody’s wife, Chandra, who had walked into the room to find Carrigan fast asleep on her dad’s guitar.

Cody then shared the video onto his Facebook page, Cody Comer Music, where it quickly received over 68 million views.

“My wife asked me to see if I could get our daughter to take a nap today because her and the ladies were busy doing something so we took a nap daddy’s way!!!” Cody wrote in the video’s caption. “And it works every time!!”

Carrigan stayed happily sleeping on the guitar for around ten minutes, and while her parents kept a close eye on her to make sure she was safe, she looked so adorable that they simply didn’t want to move her!

“To me, it was adorable and something I had never seen before,” Chandra told ABC News. “[I was] at first kind of scared, though, because I was like, ‘What if she falls?’ — but she was so content and just knocked out asleep that all I wanted to do was capture it.”

It’s no surprise that the sweet little girl loves her dad’s music so much.

Apparently, when Carrigan was still in her mom’s tummy, Cody would play to her all the time. Since it reminds her of back when she was cozy and safe, the music probably soothes her better than any nursery rhyme could.

“When she was inside of my stomach even — because [Cody] plays all the time — the reaction was she’d just kick all the time,” Chandra recalled to ABC News. “As soon as we got home from the hospital, he started playing again and it seems like it soothes her every time.”
