Jordan Watson is back with one of his amusing dad videos. He is “How to DAD,” and this New Zealand sensation once again features his super cute toddler daughter. She always steals the show by the way.
JW sets out to teach his daughter how to sing. Naturally, hilarity ensues as she is able to hit all the notes and nail all the genres. She’s a toddler but already showing potential. With a bit of comedy too!
Jordan had no idea his channel would take off like it did. After posting a video to Facebook one night, he woke up the next day to find that his video was a huge hit across the globe.
To think it was meant for a friend.
“How to teach a toddler to sing,” now has over 2 million views.
Jordan begins by teaching his toddler the “fundamentals” of music. Basically him going through the notes one by one and his co-star giving each one her all. Little miss Watson mimics whatever body movement dad uses to achieve the notes, and it’s just too hilarious.
Dad takes her through the different genres of music, starting with pop where dad throws out a vocal “Mmmm Bop,” and his tiny tot gives it right back with her impeccable comedic timing.
It’s obvious that this dad knows little about music, and he’s just winging it in order to get his little one to melt hearts.
Up next are the soul stirring vocals of R&B. He raises a hand to visually display the different vocal ranges and the little lady takes her cue lifting her arm and swaying her head to elevate her voice.
She can do both Country and Western.
Jordan starts with “Achy Breaky Heart,” to teach his daughter some of that country music twang. Little Watson gives her best with some baby gibberish sounds. Try to make out her lyrics!
She’s a rocker in the making though. Listen to her growl!
A viewer commented,
“I thought they just squeezed that stuff out naturally. She definitely got a gift with the death metal.”
Jordan admits to The Guardian, that parenting is not as easy as his videos make it out to be.
“90% of it as a parent you’re making it up, and my videos make it look like fun, very carefree. But I’m filming when my kids are in the best mood possible. I’m like every other parent, having sleepless nights or trying to grit my teeth when they’re trying to draw on the walls. But the videos, I remind myself and they’re there to remind all parents, that you’ve got to sometimes step back and have a bit of a giggle.”
And as always, dad and daughter are a hit!
She’s a future singer for sure and dad will surely be proud of his coaching! Watch them below!
