Kids love spending time with their dogs, especially if they enjoy doing the same activities together.
One California toddler and his pooch like to bond by driving around in their bright red convertible. No, seriously! But what makes it even more head-scratching is that it’s the dog who’s behind the wheel…
Jessica Wolf shared an adorable video with the world that features her son Oliver and their family pet Daisy.
Mom’s filming as the duo sits inside of their toy car ready to take a spin. Daisy (who’s a Maltese/Chihuahua mix) has her paw on the wheel looking like she’s perhaps been in the driver’s seat before. After just a moment they take off!
Go, Daisy, go.
In the video, the dog looks ahead and to the side while also turning the wheel. As for Oliver, he just sits back and takes in the view! They stay in the same area under Jessica’s close supervision, but it’s almost like they could be two teens on a joyride!

Oliver seems to appreciate his driver.
Shortly in, the boy sweetly pets his dog while she continues to steer the wheel. Awww! Surely Daisy wouldn’t also mind being tipped in cash or dog biscuits. However, cuddles work too.
It’s not completely as it appears.
As parents, we have to be very careful when it comes to other people driving our children around, and we want them only with safe drivers. For this reason, you’ve likely never considered letting “Fido” play taxi…
Don’t worry though, the toddler in the video is actually in good hands!
Jessica is the one who’s mostly in control of the car.
Although it appears that Daisy must have passed her driver’s test – the mom is holding onto a remote control that stops and accelerates the toy vehicle.
On YouTube, Jessica explained:
“Daisy loves to drive Oliver around in their car. Yes the car is a remote controlled car which I use to accelerate and stop (neither of them can reach the pedals… Haha)… Yes she is really steering it to the left. I steer it to the right… She steers back to the left! Haha Hope you enjoy!”
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way – let’s enjoy how cute these two are.
It’s not every day that you see a dog in the driver’s seat, especially with her toddler side-kick riding shotgun. I mean, if you didn’t know that Mom was helping drive – it appears that Daisy is actually a fairly decent motorist. Good luck trying to hold back a grin watching the sight!
Jessica’s home video went viral and has been viewed over 4.3 million times since it’s been posted.
According to E!, the mom shared:
“It’s just meant to be a fun video for easy enjoyment of our girl Daisy and her best Buddy Oliver. Happy it is allowing so many people to smile.”
There are all kinds of fun activities that kids can do with their dogs, from running through the sprinklers to playing hide and go seek. I have to say, if I were still a kid, this is exactly what I’d want to do!
