One of the most wonderful parts of having children is watching how they react to the world around them. It’s amazing to see a baby’s face after tasting ice cream for the first time, for example, or watching how they act around animals.
It’s also always fun to see how young children respond to music, and one beautiful baby boy has been making waves online for his heartwarming reaction to a wonderful piece of classical music.
The sweet little boy was moved to tears by one special episode of Sesame Street in which famed Italian singer and songwriter, Andrea Bocelli, performs a lovely duet with everyone’s favorite, fluffy, red friend: Elmo.
It was back in 2004 that Bocelli appeared on Sesame Street. In the episode, he offers to sing a lullaby to Elmo to help him fall asleep. For the lullaby, Bocelli performs a unique parody version of his incredible song, ‘Con te partiro’, known as ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ in English.
The song was a huge hit upon its initial release and has been covered and rerecorded in various languages by artists all over the globe.
This particular version for Sesame Street was quite special, as the lyrics had all been changed to suit the show, talking about the big day that Elmo had been having and all the fun things he’d done earlier on.
The clip has been enjoyed by kids of all ages all over the globe, but one little baby named Abriel had the cutest reaction of them all!
For the early parts of the song, which mainly feature Elmo singing, Abriel is smiling and happy, but as soon as Bocelli’s powerful vocals begin, Abriel suddenly becomes far more emotional!
He seems absolutely enchanted, as though his eyes are stuck to the screen and his heart has been hypnotized by the song.
Moments later, sweet little Abriel almost looks ready to cry!
His little lip starts to quiver and his eyes start to shimmer as he watches the screen, being truly touched by every second of this amazing performance.
When Elmo starts singing, Abriel starts grinning again, but whenever Bocelli sings, he suddenly looks like his tiny heart is about to break.
There’s something so pure and special about this adorable baby’s reaction.
He’s clearly a classical music lover, despite being so young, and it’s incredible to see how, even without understanding the lyrics, the melody is enough to make Abriel so emotional.
And in case you were worried about Abriel bursting into tears, there’s no need to be concerned! By the time the song ends, he’s smiling and laughing all over again.
According to the caption, little Abriel appreciates classical and operatic music in general and seems to enjoy listening to this kind of music whenever he can.
Who knows? Maybe someday he’ll grow up to be a singer or songwriter himself! In the meantime, more than three million people have fallen in love with his adorable reaction.
