Well, it’s finally happened! After 14 sons, the Schwandt family has finally welcomed a baby girl.

On November 4, 2020, Kateri and Jay Schwandt and their 14 sons welcome the newest member of their family, Maggie Jayne.

Born at 7 pounds, 8 ounces, and 20 inches long, this is the world’s most protected baby.

Anyone who wants to date Maggie in the future will have to go through 14 men plus the parents.

That’s a lot of bodyguards and hoops to jump through!

Seriously, the Schwandt family is now going to have to make major lifestyle changes because guess what?

Their home is not exactly equipped for girls.

The boys don’t mind though.

It doesn’t matter if the new baby was a boy or girl, they’re gonna love their new sibling just the same.

The boys were still in shock though.

It was hard to wrap their heads around the idea that they finally have a baby sister.

According to Jay, this was the first time they opted not to find out the sex of the baby before their birth.

They were so glad they chose not to know this time.

“We are overjoyed and beyond excited to add Maggie Jayne to our family,” Jay Schwandt said. “This year has been memorable in so many ways, for so many reasons, but Maggie is the greatest gift we could ever imagine.”

A baby girl was so unexpected that they weren’t prepared for girl names.

They eventually used Jay’s mother’s middle name, Margaret, for her first name but tweaked it a bit.

Her middle name came from a creative twist to Jay’s name.

Thus her name became Maggie Jayne.

Now, they need to make a lot of changes in the house.

With 14 sons, someone asked them if they could imagine having a girl.

Jay was laughing at the thought.

He said he couldn’t imagine raising a girl in the house they currently have.

It’s a frat house or a locker room.

They simply cannot raise a princess in that kind of house.

Heck, the kids don’t even think their mom has any pink clothing or anything pink in the house!

Well, they were going to have to do more than imagine now and make those changes!

The boys will have to start putting the toilet seat down.

First, they still need to get used to the idea that they finally have a baby girl in the house.

Even Kateri was still getting used to referring to her youngest child as a girl.

“I didn’t believe it, there was disbelief there. I’m still trying to process [everything]. In fact, a little while ago, I referred to her as him. Two of the boys had to correct me,” Kateri shared. “It’s been pretty neat incorporating pink already.”

When she was still pregnant, she said that if they had a girl, she’d be “the most spoiled and protected child her entire life, especially during her teenage years.”

She definitely will be.

In fact, one of the boys had already said that anyone who wants to get close will have to get through 14 layers before they can get to her.
