Most of us may be familiar with Nadya Suleman 13 years back. After all, her story was anything but the ordinary. It was an out-of-this-world concept that caused a stir in media and society in general. She drew attention, and it came with lots of criticism.

But a recent update from what the public referred to as “Octomom” has proven that things would always end up for the better. Before diving into it, let’s look back at Nadya’s claim to fame.

The Octomom

Nadya Suleman was called “Octomom” by most people because it is what made her famous. She got pregnant through In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF), resulting in eight fertilized embryos! That was on top of having six kids already.

When asked why she decided to have eight children, she said she didn’t expect to have that many embryos fertilized. All she cared about was saving her frozen eggs and taking them out since she was already paying for a lot.

In the public eye

Since then, Nadya was in the scrutiny of the public. She was already on government support with her six kids, and it raised people’s eyebrows to know she had eight more. That’s where she had a deal with the devil and exposed herself (and her children) to the world through various media coverages.

From magazine photoshoots to reality shows – she did all these to support all her children until she was pushed to the edge and profited from adult videos. That was the most significant turning point in her life.

A moment of change

One day, Nadya saw one of her daughters wear one of the outfits or costumes she wore in those videos. It hit her that she would never want to see her daughter in the state she was in. That’s when she reached out for help.

She had lawyers and therapists help her escape the pit she was in. Nadya and the kids moved to the suburbs to start a new life. She also adjusted her expenses so she wouldn’t worry about providing for her family.

13 years after

After more than a decade, Nadya proudly shared her octuplets’ first day in 8th grade. What a milestone for them, indeed. All the changes in their lives turned out to be something for the better.

She posted the photo on her Instagram account with a touching message for her kids. She said:

“First day of 8th grade. Be proud of yourselves, kids, for being kind, respectful, and helpful to all your fellow peers, teachers, and staff. You are exceptional role models to the 6th and 7th graders. I love you ❤️.”

Preparing them for the world

Within those 13 years, it wasn’t only Nadya who tried to rebuild her life. She did so for her children as well. She taught them soft skills they should have growing up (i.e., recognizing emotions and feelings) and even trained their bodies to be healthier.

Their life took a complete turn for the better. Noah, Maliyah, Isaiah, Nariyah, Jonah, Makai, Josiah, and Jeremiah grew up adorable and kind children, and Nadya couldn’t be prouder.
