In 2015, a little pop diddly came out called “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” by Silentó. The song took the radio by storm, not to mention it inspired a dance craze featuring moves like The Whip™, the Nae Nae™, the Stanky Leg™, and so on.
The song inspired many dancers – both classically trained and recreational – to perform the dance moves on video and share their talents on YouTube.
In the video below, one talented little girl shows off her slick dance moves on camera.
She does a whip, a nae nae, and a stanky leg with flawless execution. Her confidence in her talented abilities is admirable.
About 50 seconds into the video, another dancer appears – the girl’s father.
Based on the little girl’s expression, her father’s intrusion wasn’t planned.
But instead of being embarrassed or upset that her father interrupted her, she just keeps going like it’s nobody’s business.
Likewise, her dad doesn’t scold her or embarrass his daughter.
Instead, he sees her dancing, and he joins in on the fun!
The two perform an awesome partner dance that makes the video so pure and wholesome. The little girl doesn’t mind sharing the spotlight, and her dad knows just what to do when he gets on camera.
Clearly, good dancing runs in the family!
Towards the end of the video, the little girl goes off camera, but the video doesn’t stop there. Instead, she lets her dad take center stage as he grooves for a little longer.
Based on the video alone, you can see that the two have a great relationship, and it’s so nice to see that not all children are embarrassed by their parents.
Sounds like parenting done right to me.
