Like any form of transportation, there are also issues when we’re flying.

You may have heard about the doctor who was dragged out of his flight and so many more cases that seem to be too much.

It can sometimes be discouraging to watch news about airline controversies, right?

One airline shared a piece of positive news that made everyone smile.

This viral story happened five years ago at Finnair, when a mom of four boarded the flight with her hands full – literally.

She was with her four kids; two of them were just babies.

It looked like the mother didn’t have a choice but to travel alone with four kids with her.

Can you imagine how she managed to board the plane?

For sure, she was cautious. She didn’t want to disturb or be an inconvenience to other passengers.

She tried to handle her kids the best she could, but it was impossible to do so.

Then, Finnair off duty pilot, Capt. Tom Nystrom saw the mother’s dilemma and went up to her.

Capt. Nystrom offered to hold one of the babies and even assisted in his feeding.

“I have children of my own… so it came natural to me to help this customer with her babies,” Capt. Nystrom told in his interview with Independent.

His instincts told him to help, and as a gentleman, he couldn’t bear watching the young mom struggle.

It doesn’t take too much to be kind.

Then, when another baby became irritated, he handed the other baby and took the one who needed attention. He held him, and he was able to calm him as well.

He was a pro at this, and people noticed it too.

Flight attendant Ami Niemela saw how good Capt. Nystrom was. She was touched by his act of kindness and his sweetness with the babies.

He took a photo while the Capt. fed one of the babies.

The photo was too adorable not to share. Just look at that baby boy, staring at this kind-hearted Captain who was feeding him.

“Naturally, one cannot travel with two babies on one’s lap,” the flight attendant wrote on Instagram.

Can you imagine the mother’s situation? We’re pretty sure she was also worried about people getting irritated about her babies crying.

“So we had to solve the dilemma of [a] missing lap, otherwise, it would have been a no-go for mom and the kids,” Niemela continued.

There will always be two types of approaches in this situation. One is you’ll yell and be inconsiderate. You can blame the mother for bringing four kids without help.

The better, more compassionate approach is what the kind-hearted captain did for the family. He went over to them and offered his help.

It didn’t cost him anything, but he was able to help.

People commented about how amazing the pilot was. They also praised the airlines for being understanding, humane, and kind.

Helping one another, understanding one another, and just being kind, can do so much for all of us. It’s amazing to be able to help, right?

Instead of being rude, let’s think about their situation and be understanding.
