Weddings are a very special affair where two families are brought together to make one.
As the bride and groom pledge their love to one another, their families and friends are joined to support the couple and celebrate the most joyous of occasions.
An event celebrating such beauty and love is bound to be a good time.
But sometimes things don’t always turn out the way we plan them to.
Even if we spent months and months planning.
The bride and groom at this wedding intended the flower girl and their son to walk down the aisle hand-in-hand.
Let’s just say that the kids had different ideas about what their wedding day duties would be.
Well, they didn’t actually seem to have a very good idea of what they were supposed to be doing at all.
But it ended up making for quite the hilarious moment that was thoroughly enjoyed by both wedding guests and thousands of people on the internet.
While the couple’s son was ready to follow wedding march orders, the little flower girl was trying to do her own thing.
And the entire adorable ordeal was all caught on video.
The video begins with a little boy stomping heavy-footed down the aisle with a sign around his neck that says, “Daddy here comes mommy.”
He’s far outpacing the little flower girl behind him at the back of the church.
He breaks out into a run before coming to a halt.
A hand from someone sitting in a pew reaches out urging the child to turn back around.
The little boy turns around to go join the flower girl and escort her down the aisle like he was told.
It was all going well at that point.
He met the little girl halfway down the aisle and took her arm per the instructions he was given.
The wedding guests let out a collective “awwwww” that rang throughout the chapel.
But the little flower girl didn’t seem to like that plan.
She shook his hand away every time he tried to walk with her arm in arm.
And the look on this sweet little boy’s face is priceless.
He was just completely shocked.
That little cutie stopped still in his tracks while the little girl kept on walking down the aisle. The entire room then erupts into laughter.
After her escape, the little girl then wanders off in a crowd of guests sitting in the pews while the little boy continues to stand still totally puzzled by what just happened.
Poor kid is just standing there waiting there to be told what to do.
Eventually, someone motions for him to follow in the girl’s footsteps.
The entire church is cracking up at this point.
The little boy’s parents got married in January 2020.
The video was posted on the internet. Since then it’s gone viral. It was viewed more than 2,800 times on KHOU11.
“He looked at her and said to himself: “No she didn’t just play me like that!” wrote one commenter on YouTube.
“Get used to it kid,” wrote another.
Instead of being a memorable moment for just the wedding guest, these kiddos made this wedding memorable for thousands of people in the world. Watch the interaction in the video below.
