We all know that little kids can be unpredictable. Yet, despite the fact, brides and grooms still choose to incorporate them into their weddings (and we’re really glad they do).
There’s nothing sweeter than watching the ring bearer and flower girl walk down the aisle. On top of how cute they look – let’s face it, it’s a gamble how they’re going to react in the spotlight. The internet’s full of screamers, flower dumpers, pillow throwers, and other kids that make you chuckle. But along with the funny moments, you gotta love all the aww-worthy ones too.
One dad was able to capture a very precious memory on film when his toddler daughter was a flower girl, and she spotted him in the crowd. She ended up stealing the show and the internet’s heart too.
In the video, the wedding party is making their descent down the aisle. A woman named Angèle Latourelle is part of the bridesmaids (and she’s also the mother of the teeny flower girl).
For the wedding the ring bearer had the responsibility of guiding the two flower girls towards the altar. After the bridesmaids, it was their turn.
Although the boy does a great job holding their hands and leading the way – it wasn’t a guarantee things would go as planned. The smallest flower girl starts calling out, “Mommy! Where are you, Mom?”
Bits of laughter can be heard from the pews, but it turns into cuteness overload once the girl notices her daddy on the sidelines.
According to Brides, ring bearers and flower girls are typically between four and seven-years-old. If they’re younger – there’s a risk of meltdowns.
But in this case, the flower girl didn’t have a meltdown at all. She just wanted to say “Hi” to her daddy!
The little peanut stops and turns in the midst of walking and adorably says, “Hi, Dad!”
With the biggest smile on her cherub face, she stands in front of her daddy who’s filming – forgetting there’s still a job to be done!
He tells her “Go up to the front, go see mommy.” The girl quickly refocuses and heads towards the altar, yet, it was enough to create a funny and heart-melting moment.
Angèle decided to upload the clip to YouTube, which prompted some viewers to share their own flower girl and ring bearer stories too!

“My cousin recently got married and her husband has a daughter and she was one of the flower girls. It took her a bit to walk down the isle, but when someone pointed out her daddy to her, she ran as fast as she could to him. She even dropped the basket of flowers while running. Nothing meant more to her than getting to her daddy.”
Paula had a hilarious (and perhaps tiny-bit embarrassing) story to share:
“When my son was three he was the ringbearer at my nieces wedding. After he had finished walking down the aisle absolutely perfectly he came running to me saying very loudly “mom, I gotta go poop! “ At least the videographer had enough sense to cut that part out! LOL! When you have kids in your wedding you have to expect the unexpected.”
