This girl’s reaction to becoming a big sister is priceless.

Morgan was an only child for a long time and always wanted to be a big sister. When that day finally arrived, she was ecstatic – once she figured out what her mom was trying to tell her.

Morgan’s mother recorded her daughter looking at photos of an ultrasound and trying to figure out what they meant. Her reaction is filled with such joy that it automatically brings a smile to your face.

To set up the video, Morgan’s mom explained in the caption:

“Morgan was asking for a sister or brother for a long time! We kept reassuring her that in time hopefully she will become a big sister.”

Unfortunately, conceiving again wasn’t as easy as Morgan’s parents hoped.

“We struggled with infertility and it was breaking our heart having to tell her there wasn’t a baby yet over and over.”

Eventually, Morgan’s mom got pregnant.

“We waited patiently to hit the mark where we were most comfortable to tell everyone. She was the first one! I knew she was going to be so happy but this reaction was by far more than we hoped for.”

Morgan’s parents were so excited to tell her the good news that they didn’t even wait until they got her home from school. They told her in the car right after picking her up.

The video begins with Morgan sitting in the middle backseat of the car, next to her little cousin, Parker, who is still in a baby car seat.

Morgan’s mom hands her a series of ultrasound image and asks her: “What is that?”

Morgan clearly recognizes that the ultrasound is of a baby, first asking, “Is it me?” When her mom tells her it isn’t, she asks, “Is it Parker?” with plenty of enthusiasm at 0:07, thinking she found the answer.

When she finds out it isn’t Parker, Morgan is clearly stumped, just staring at the ultrasound images. Her mom prods her again, asking, “Where do you think the baby is?” a few times. When Morgan doesn’t have a response, her mom clarifies:

“That’s a baby. You see the baby? Where’s that baby at? Where do you think the baby is?”

At a complete loss, Morgan once again guesses it is Parker, but this time by just pointing to her. When she can’t hold it in anymore, at 0:35, her mom says:

“Morgan, that baby’s in Mommy’s belly.”

It takes a few seconds for the news to sink in. In fact, she still doesn’t believe it after her parents had to tell her so many times through the years that her mom wasn’t pregnant. Her mom has to repeat herself: “No, that baby’s in Mommy’s belly.”

It’s at this point, at 0:44, that Morgan realizes she’s going to be a big sister and gets incredibly excited.

“It’s in your belly? You have a baby?”

At 0:50, you can see Morgan’s exhilaration as she holds the ultrasound to her heart while her parents laugh at her enthusiastic reaction. Now, Morgan gets to the real questions, asking:

“Is it my sister?”

To which her mom lets her know that “it might be your sister or brother.” Morgan’s delight just can’t be stopped at this point as she exclaims more loudly:

“Oh my gosh, do you really have a baby?”

Morgan can’t contain herself and in a moment of adorable cousin bonding shares the good news with Parker at 1:03 and gives her a kiss. Then, Morgan immediately unbuckles her seatbelt and gets up to give her parents, and unborn sibling, a hug.

Morgan’s mom says that:

“She is now the greatest big sister Macy could have asked for.”

With so much enthusiasm from the start, it isn’t hard to see why that would be the case.
