It’s safe to say that flu shots and kids don’t mix. Convincing a child to go to the doctor for their annual flu shot or required vaccinations can take some serious skill. Bribes or treats often times have to come into play.
It’s flu shot time for the young girl in the video below and she’s not very excited about it. Or is she? Or does she think it’s funny? We’re really not entirely sure what emotion this girl is feeling but we’re so happy it was caught on video.
At first, the little girl, named Kayla, is calmly sitting on the exam table but as soon as the doctor gets a little closer — her eyes become huge. Here comes the rollercoaster of emotion!
Her first reaction starts as a look of fear mixed with a sound of crying and laughing all at once.
Kayla instinctively pulls down her sleeve and the patient doctor backs away so that the little girl can have a moment to gather herself. Mom starts trying to convince her daughter that it won’t hurt that bad or take too long.
As her mom is trying to sweet talk her into proceeding with the shot, Kayla just can’t focus at all.
She gives the doctor a look that can only be described as a “death stare.”
The death stare, however, quickly turns back into crying. A couple deep breaths later and Kayla thinks that she’s ready for the doctor to go ahead with administering the shot. Maybe we’re getting somewhere!
Little brother is in the background absolutely cracking up at his sister’s totally confusing emotional reaction.
The doctor starts to approach Kayla again and once more, her eyes become as big as the moon. Her crying soon turned to laughing but then back to crying again. The doctor isn’t quite sure what to do!
Her sleeve is pulled up for the second time and Kayla’s crying laughter turns into one giant shout to the room.
“Oh my god!” Kayla exclaimed through a hilarious confusing mixture of laughing and crying.
The terrified and emotionally confused girl tries closing her eyes and taking some deep breaths. Maybe that will calm her down and let her figure out which emotion she wants to feel.
It’s a serious emotional rollercoaster that is absolutely hilarious to witness. Watch her entire video below — just wait for the Band-Aid!
