A pregnancy announcement is a big deal. This is why a lot of expecting parents feel super excited about it. They want the event to be as memorable as possible. They try to be creative in delivering the good news to everyone in the family.
When Rachel Earls found out that she was pregnant on Christmas Eve, she was super happy about it.
However, instead of telling it straight to her husband Harold, she decided to surprise him on Christmas Day. Her pregnancy was definitely one of the best gifts they could share as husband and wife.
Feeling happy, they knew they needed to share the big news and the excitement with their families as soon as possible.
The couple got extra creative in sharing the news with the other members of the family.
For her husband’s sister, they used a memory book from last Christmas. They reminisced for a little while before she was able to understand that the couple was expecting.
For the rest of Harold’s family, they reached out to Brayden for help.
Carrying a sign that says “Santa got me a cousin”, the family quickly figured out the clue. They were clearly beyond happy for Harold and Rachel.
The photographer from Hinesville, GA hadn’t seen his brother for more than a year. She figured out that she needed to make his visit extra special. So, they made a sign for him. However, it’s not your average welcome sign.
They wrote, “Welcome Home” on the sign. Then, at the back, they wrote “Uncle Will”. His brother got a bit emotional after reading the signs and hugged Rachel.
The couple wanted to be extra creative in telling Rachel’s dad about the news.
Unfortunately, he didn’t quite get it at first. It took a bit of work but when he finally understood, he was nothing short of surprised.
Then, Rachel got to share the news with her precious grandmother.
Like before, Rachel didn’t outright tell granny that she’s pregnant. Instead, she handed her a gift bag. Grandma looked quite excited to receive a gift from her.
When Grandma opened it, she saw a lot of test kits.
At first, she thought they were tools for the nails. Rachel had to correct her and tell her that they’re pregnancy test kits and the lines meant that they’re positive.
Surprised, the old lady said:
“I don’t want it.”
Grandma probably thought that the tests were for her and her reaction was quite funny. After a few giggles and laughter, Rachel explained to her that the tests mean that she’s going to be a great-grandma. After realizing what her granddaughter really meant, grandma was super delighted.
Rachel and Harold succeeded with their pregnancy announcements.
They really did put a lot of effort into planning them and making sure they were able to surprise everyone in the family. It’s so heartwarming to watch their reactions.
