John Lindo and his dance partner Nicola Royston were having a good time the moment they stepped out on the dance floor.
They were all smiles and laughing it up before the music even started.
To be honest, they are pretty adorable.
With her head on his shoulder, they totally could have been your parents dancing at family party.
But your mom and dance probably don’t swing dance like they do.
Once that music started, the crowd started to cheer wildly.
Knowing the reputation of these two, the audience probably knew they were in for a real treat during their performance at the 2013 UK Euro West Coast Swing Championship.
According to his website, Lindo is an International Award-winning West Coast Swing Dance Champion and dance instructor, competition judge, DJ, choreographer, and event director.
Lindo started dancing country-western in 1992 and later made a name for himself in the West Coast Swing circuit winning several awards and championships.
He’s won first place at the U.S. Open, Grand Nationals, and Pheonix Champion of Champions.
Royston is a stage, TV, and film performer that was born and raised in NYC by a theater family.
She would spend her childhood weekends in the back of theaters watching performers on stage and imagined herself doing the same one day.
Royston, who is represented by Talent Express Management and FFT Models, earned her BFA in drama at Carnegie-Mellon University.
As a professional competitive dancer, Royston has traveled the world winning championships and teaching dance.
She appeared in the film “Love ‘n Dancing” starring Billy Zane, Amy Smart, and Betty White where she played as a competitive swing dancer.
She is currently represented by Talent Express Management and FFT Models.
Both of their extraordinary talents are evident within seconds of the start of their performance at the 2013 Euro WCS Championships.
The pair were intimately close as their song, Sara Bareilles’ version of “Sitting by the Dock of the Bay,” played.
Lindo got even closer when he nuzzled his face into his partner’s neck making the crowd burst out in laughter.
As you can imagine, viewers were really entertained, leaving comments like,
“MIGHTY JOHN….isn’t trying to win ANYTHING! He is having more FUN in 4 minutes than most find in a YEAR!!!!!!! And he is also playing with Nicola’s husband Robert…and the guys in the background! GEEEZZ…WHAT A DANCER!!!!!”
While another lady said,
“I love this video. And the interaction between John & her boyfriend (I presume), their ability to have fun & laugh at each other & themselves. John is such a great dancer & has a wonderful sense of humor. Could watch him all day.”
Apparently, Royston’s husband wasn’t too happy about this as he jumped out of his seat behind the dancing pair.
Luckily, a friend was there to hold him back while Lindo waved him off.
This, of course, was all in good fun. And the crowd ate it up.
After a few fancy steps, their dance moves got a little racy again as Royston bent over and Lindo stood up close behind her.
The crowd was in hysterics by this point. Royston’s husband faked shooting himself in the head with his fingers.
He even fell off his chair. After all the funny business, these two got down to the business of dancing.
Royston impressed with her seamless twirls and Lindo with his sensual dips.
Royston even dipped down far enough to make funny faces at her husband behind her.
But the fun really started when the song switched to a Britney Spears song.
That’s when Lindo and Royston really started to pick up the pace and turn on the heat.
They were swinging around the dance floor when some more funny antics ensued. This is definitely talent. When they’re being funny on purpose while still looking so good out there.
