No matter how many winters we experience, nobody ever gets used to being out in the cold.
The season comes with many great aspects, to be sure. We can all appreciate the natural beauty of snow on the ground, the ability to build snowmen and the clarity of the air when sunlight hits it. Still, most of us will never get used to the shivering and will always wish that we could be warmer. One of the absolute worst parts of winter is shoveling snow.
If that sounds relatable then this video is definitely for you.
One video making the rounds on the internet shows one little guy with this very unfortunate job.
The boy in the clip is only four years old and his parents have already put him to work. Armed with a little snow shovel of his own, he tries his best to scrape the hardened snow off the sidewalk to clear a path. After a few moments, though, his frustration becomes pretty clear. With plenty of drama, he stumbles and then lets out an anguished cry.
What happens next has made this little boy an online icon.
After he regains his composure, the little boy goes blank and stares into the distance for a few moments.
Next, he gets an idea. He takes a big breath, looks up at the sky and makes a desperate plea. “Jesus, make it warm!” he shouts. He waits for a moment as if expecting things to turn around all of a sudden. When nothing happens, he lets out a sigh and goes back to his shoveling. And needless to say, this moment has really struck a chord with people all around the world.
So far, the video of this adorable little tantrum has nearly two million views on YouTube.
After watching this video, who can’t relate to this little boy’s torment? Who hasn’t wanted to throw everything down and beg the heavens to make it warmer? On the one hand, this is just an adorable clip. On another, though, it’s a reminder that the winter season can really take it out of us. Those who suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (aptly acryonym-ed as SAD), winter can be truly stressful and disheartening. The clip of this little boy at least reminds us that we’re not alone and that the best way through is to persevere—and to have a laugh whenever you can.
Stay warm out there, everybody!
