Understanding kids’ behavior isn’t easy. As they grow, they develop behaviors, habits, and traits that a lot of adults misunderstand. This kind of misunderstanding cause problems in the long run.
Because kids don’t think the way adults do, it’s super important for parents to understand normal child development. This way, they’ll be able to tell if a child is misbehaving or he’s just being a kid.
If you refuse to believe that children are weird, here are 40 photos that show kids who don’t make any sense.
1. A weird way to sleep
Stepping on a piece of Lego can make anyone howl in pain. Seeing this kid sleep on a pile of Lego pieces is just unbelievable. He probably has a high pain tolerance.
2. When your kids are boys
There’s no need to panic. The kids are perfectly fine. This is just how boys like to play.
When my son Seth was little, he would beg his brother to put him in this particular pillow case and swing him around.
I know it’s insane and the only reason I’m telling you now is because they are grown up and I can’t lose custody of them pic.twitter.com/OCTe1vyjkY

3. The only bed they like
This is just heartwarming. For sure, these siblings will have an amazing bond when they grow up.
4. Just in case
No one can blame this little girl. She just wanted to protect herself and make sure nothing bad happens to her in case the thing on her tablet manages to come out.
My 4yo daughter was watching something on her tablet that scared her. So she came back with protective headgear. from r/pics
5. Just being himself
Most parents always tell their kids to not be afraid to be themselves. Well, this kid’s doing exactly that.
6. Sleep tight!
Of course, toy cars need to rest, too. Being pushed around the entire day can be tiring.
7. A different kind of doll
A lot of little girls like dolls with pink dresses and glittery gowns. For some reason, this daughter wanted a Barbie centaur. It’s a good thing her mom’s creative.
8. While shopping
The parent lost her kid in Target. She went around looking for him and found him standing next to the mannequin. He’s probably trying to learn modeling from the pro.
9. Time for a nap
This kid clearly knows the importance of nap for children like him. He’s willing to sleep on the driveway just to make sure he’s able to get some daytime sleep.
Imagination Level 100. My 2-yr-old daughter drew a pillow with chalk, then laid down for a nap… from r/pics
10. More!
Despite their small size, kids are powerful. When they say more, parents have no other choice but to follow their kids’ requests.
11. Easiest gift
If only all kids are like this, a lot of parents will be able to save a lot of money for Christmas. It’ll help lessen their stress and anxiety, too.
My daughter always steals printer paper to draw on so for Christmas I wrapped a pack of 500 pages of paper. She started running around screaming with excitement. Easiest present ever. from r/funny
12. A multitasking pro
This kid’s a pro when it comes to multitasking. He’s doing a core workout while watching videos. Cool, right?

13. The ‘rona
She probably wasn’t trying to be mean. The virus is quite contagious so she “isolated” her sibling.
Not sure if I should be proud or concerned. My daughter said “He’s got the RONA!!!” And started making him a coffin. from r/funny
14. Upcycling
Kids are quite resourceful. They can turn anything into a toy just like this box.
15. Hello?
She’s just probably listening to her own voice echoing. That or she’s talking to a “friend” only she can hear. Yikes!
She’s been talking into the vent for a while
At first I thought it was cute
Now I’m afraid someone is talking back pic.twitter.com/uhibpE7tL8

16. Innocent love
This just proves that kids aren’t judgmental. They have such pure hearts that can love anyone for who they are.
17. Mom’s childhood
The mom looks quite hilarious here. She probably had so much fun as a child. Oh, she’s got awesome hair back then, too.
18. His dream
Don’t judge the kid. Traffic lights are so important. Without them, streets would end up in chaos.
19. Her new favorite book
How can she leave it behind? It matches her shirt. Obviously, she needs it to complete her look.
My daughter now has a special book. She carries it around everywhere and uses it for everything. The other day she snuck it into the car and tried to take it to daycare. She asks to sleep with it, as if it’s a stuffy. The book is the official Mr. Boston Guide to Bartending and Drink Mixing. from r/KidsAreFuckingStupid
20. Practice for the future
This one’s quite cute. It’s like they’re already training for what’s about to happen in the future.
21. Not a fan of dressing in one color
This kid’s starting to understand one of the big rules of fashion. His dad should learn from him when it comes to getting dressed.
I walk out of Target to the scene of a child laying motionless on the ground. I asked what was wrong and the dad said
“He’s upset his gloves match his jacket.” pic.twitter.com/hYMJRbZxkf

22. Trying to be scary
She’s probably trying to make the new baby afraid of her. Unfortunately, looking at the baby’s face, her tactic’s not working. He’s unaffected by what his sister was trying to do.
23. Out for dinner
The kid probably felt insulted. Her parents told her they were going out for a nice dinner. She lost her interest the minute she saw what was on her plate.
24. What the daughter was up to
Considering the mask she was wearing and the bat she was holding, the kid doesn’t look like she’s doing something related to school. She looks more like she’s plotting something evil with other villains.
Checked on my daughter to see how school was going…. now waiting for the teachers email…. what’s with the bat?!? from r/funny
25. Trying out the plunger
Some kids play with toy cars and barbie dolls. This kid, meanwhile, was a bit different. At 9 years old, he’s playing with plungers. Hopefully, the one’s he’s using in this photo was brand new.
26. Smart kid
The blanket served two purposes here: 1.) It kept her warm while pooping. 2.) It offered a sense of privacy. You see, it’s hard to poop when it’s cold and there’s someone taking pictures in the bathroom.
27. Costco and hotdogs
Costco’s hotdogs must be super delicious. This kid prefered to go there instead of Disneyland
Little cousin’s prompt was, “What place do you want to go and visit? It can be anywhere in the world.” from r/KidsAreFuckingStupid
28. Weird but fun
Even though he looks weird in this photo, you can easily tell that he was having so much fun. He must have had an awesome childhood!
29. While watching TV
I’m pretty sure his parents experienced a mini-heart attack after seeing him dressed as a gorilla while watching TV. Clearly, this boy has a weird sense of humor.
30. A creative solution
With the glove, the kid will be able to see if the handle’s turning. It’s actually smart.
My daughter thinks the closet looks less creepy at night like this. That makes one of us. from r/funny
31. Sssh!
This doesn’t just happen with kids. Admit it, even adults fall asleep in the bathroom
32. When you see it
If you want to get someone’s attention, you have to do something different. That’s exactlly what this kid did. For sure, the parents had a hard time ignoring the tiny hand under the door.
Instead of just letting us know verbally she woke up from her nap, or just ya know opening up the cracked door, she thought she needed to wave at us from under the door until she got our attention. from r/KidsAreFuckingStupid
33. Not broken
Don’t worry. He’s perfectly fine. It’s just how kids sleep.
34. Ooops!
Kids are like cats. They’re always curious. Because of that, they always end up getting in trouble.
35. Thinking about the future
She’s torn between being a baker and a doctor. Hopefully, she’ll be able to figure out what she really wants to be in the future.
36. The nappy ninja
This kid is definitely the cutest ninja around. The way his nappy fits his head is just adorable!
37. Learning to be cats
They’re taking the cat’s lessons quite seriously. They even chose the box over the brand new couch.
38. Accurate
A lot of moms will find this photo quite relatable. It’s what happens when you take your kids with you when trying on clothes.
39. Out for a hike
This girl’s quite smart. With her “gear”, she’ll be able to protect herself from elements and allergens. She might even scare bears away. Plus, she can use her gear to entertain everyone.
40. An odd way to play with chalk
It’s hard to determine what the look on the younger daughter’s face actually mean. Was she trying to ask for help? Or was she leaving everything up to her sister? Hopefully, their parents were able to find out before the (fake) crime scene was completed.
My daughters wanted to play with chalk outside. I came out to them setting up a fake crime scene. from r/funny
