Night nibblers easily sabotage their own healthy eating with those darn evening cravings and bedtime snacks.

Tons of people force themselves not to eat past 7 or 8 p.m. in the hopes of boosting their metabolism in the overnight and possibly losing some weight along the way.

There are a handful of healthy snacks that are considered by dieticians to be okay if those hunger pangs are gripping you, like creamy hummus with veggies, belly-filling oatmeal, seasoned popcorn, low-sugar yogurt, roasted pumpkin seeds and nuts.

But it’s best to just push away temptation and avoid the kitchen altogether. Walk by that fridge and snack cupboard that’s calling your name and tough it out.

Poor Amala couldn’t stop thinking about how hungry she was. This little cutie was trying to fight off the temptation to sneak a snack, but the 20-month-old had a growling tummy.

So what’s a toddler to do?

Amala snuck out of her bedroom, knowing fully well her grandma was in the living room adjacent to the kitchen. She had to be stealthy and not let anyone see her or hear her.

She made it into the kitchen and headed straight for the snack cupboard. The first thing that caught her eye was a package of Welch’s fruit snacks.

Amala quietly grasped ahold of the crinkly package, slid it out of the box and shut the cupboard door. As she was heading back to her room, though, she was busted.

Grandma Chris Vaughn caught her red-handed clutching the package of fruit snacks. It didn’t help that the darn dog was standing there staring at her, begging for a piece of her sugary yummies.

Like a deer in the headlights, Amala froze. She pressed herself against the cupboards next to the refrigerator and pretending like she wasn’t there.

The cutie pie closed her eyes tightly shut as if she was standing there sleeping! How clever is she?

But sadly, her ploy didn’t work. This scheme didn’t fool Grandma one bit.

“Amala? Put it back.”

Amala didn’t sway one inch. She froze like a snowman.

“You hear me?”

Oh she definitely heard her grandma. She just wasn’t interested in listening.

They obviously have a fantastic relationship, but Amala was pushing Grandma’s buttons right now.

“Open your eyes. I don’t care your eyes closed.”

Apparently Amala didn’t care either because she was not budging or opening her eyes.

“Put your snacks back in the cabinet Amala.”

Nope, Amala wasn’t having any of it.

“Oh yo asleep?”

At this point, Amala realizes the jig is up. She opens her eyes and stares right at Grandma.

“Yah I see you.”

Amala busts out into the sweetest, orneriest grin knowing fully well she’s in trouble.

The video of Amala and her attempt to finagle food out of the kitchen was shared on Grandma’s Facebook page and on Twitter and has gone viral. It’s been liked hundreds of thousands of times in Twitterland.

People’s comments are comical, too!

Look at that cheeky smile. Kids are too much sometimes.”

“This child is innocent. You cannot see her with her eyes closed. Case closed.”

“I’m not sure there’s a way to discipline that little gal, I could give her the dad ‘look’ for a second or two at best.”

How hilarious is Amala! She knew she was busted by this little dolly still tried to get away with it. Too funny!
