Now that marijuana has been legalized for recreational or medicinal use in 30 states in the U.S., some parents do, in fact, grow marijuana at their home.
But Dax Holt is not one of those parents.
Holt, a two-time Emmy winning producer for TMZ, does not grow marijuana in his home.
Nor does his wife Denise Huczneker Holt.
But that’s not exactly what his young daughter Skylar told her teachers at school.
You see, Skylar told her teachers that her family grows a lot of weed at their home.
The teacher assumed that she meant marijuana.
So when Holt went to pick her up from school, she had a lot of questions for him.
And he had a lot of explaining to do.
Dad was pretty puzzled about why his daughter would tell his teachers this.
He asked her to explain herself in a hilarious video.
Holt ended up posting the video on Facebook where it was shared more than 1,200 times.
“What did you tell your teachers today,” Holt asks his daughter in the video.
“Weed is not good for you,” she replied.
“And why did you say that?” he prods.
“Because weed is stuff like grass. But it’s not, it’s weed,” she tells him.
Then comes the million dollar question: “Did you tell them that we have a lot of weed in our house?”
She tells him that she did.
“Do you want to explain that a little bit,” he asks. “Because then I got to your school. The teachers said ‘I heard you have a lot of weed at your house.’ Do you want to explain that?”
She tells him that she does not.
He then asks her: “Are we growing weed at our house?”
She tells him that they are… and a lot of it.
“Do you want to show people what you’re talking about?” he asks her. “Wanna show us your weed.”
Finally, she agrees and Holt and his daughter walk outside where she starts pointing out the “weed” to him.
“That’s the weed you’re telling your teachers about?” he says.
But what she’s referring to is weeds not weed or marijuana.
She pops around her yard going “And that’s weed, that’s weed.”
It’s pretty hilarious. And her dad thought so too in hindsight. You can watch the funny video of this “narc” in the video below.
