When you’re trying to accomplish your goals, it’s great to have people around you that love and support you.

Aashish Nalawade was lucky to have his family by his side when he was earning his college degree in Scotland.

His daughter, Shivaee, was his biggest cheerleader. So, she made sure to let dad know just how proud of him she was when he graduated.

Nalawade was all dressed up in his cap and gown when he walked toward the podium on graduation day.

But it was his daughter that stole the spotlight.

“Congratulations, daddy,” you can heaar the little girl scream out over the crowd.

The entire audience lets out a collective “Awwww,” before Nalawade blows her a kiss and makes a heart with his hands.

“I love you,” he yells out over the crowd to his daughter to which she responds, “I love you daddy!”

The audience breaks out into laughter over the heartwarming moment. Nalawade mouths something inaudible at his daughter before asking the woman at the podium to pardon the interruption.

She then announces his name and the crowd cheers as Nalawade finishes walking the stage grinning from ear to ear.

Nalawade posted a video of his graduation walk which ended up going viral and was viewed more than 2.4 million times on Instagram.

“Cutest father-daughter moment. Like daddy like daughter,” Nalawade wrote in his post.

While Nalawade was proud of his accomplishments as a graduate, his biggest accomplishment is being Shivaee’s dad.

He said his graduation day couldn’t have been any better thanks to his “little princess.”

“As her words echoed through the silent ceremony hall. “Congratulations Daddy!!! I Love You!” My heart melted along with all the others present. Rather than the graduation award, I felt ‘Being father to my daughter’ is the biggest accomplishment and achievement to me,” Nalawade’s post on Instagram read.

“She is the world’s best daughter, but you know what people actually say ‘LIKE DAUGHTER LIKE FATHER.” This was the cutest moment during my whole graduation ceremony that would stay alive in my heart forever. LOVE YOU SHIVAEE!”

Research shows that a positive father-daughter relationship is extremely beneficial to young women.

“A daughter’s relationship with their father can play a key role in their psychological development. In fact, when fathers are present in their daughters’ lives, girls grow up with a healthy sense of who they are. They are more confident and self-assured and have a clearer understanding of what they want in life,” Very Well Family writes.

It’s clear from this video that Nalawade is a doting father and that he and his daughter share this kind of relationship.

“Too cute, oh my goodness!” one Instagram commenter wrote.

“What a precious and beautiful memory made between a father and daughter! Blessings on your family! Congratulations on your graduation!” said another commenter.

Shivaee was very thankful for all the attention her video got and told them “thank you” in a video.
