Waiting for your older brother to finish up with class can feel like it takes forever. That’s what a 17-month-old little girl found out recently when she traveled with her mom to school to pick her sibling up.

She loves her brother so much and was incredibly excited to see him.

However, that meant several minutes of patiently standing there looking out for his arrival. It was a lot to ask of the toddler, but she handled the situation like a total champ. You can even see exactly what happened that day with your own eyes.

There is nothing more beautiful than witnessing two young siblings who love each other more than words can express.

The little girl and her mom arrived really early to the school that day — almost 90 seconds early, if the video is any indication.

For a kid who isn’t even two yet, 90 seconds is basically a lifetime.

She stood there quietly and stared at the entrance of the school as the kids from various classes poured out.

One by one, she inspected the individuals that emerged, however, none of them were her brother. They all excitedly ran over to greet their own families that were standing there patiently waiting too.

The girl had on her own tiny backpack so she kind of blended in with the others in a way.

However, her height gave her away. Everyone who sprinted by was significantly taller than her.

Really, though, 17-months-old is a great age.

When kids are still toddlers, they are often still pretty good at getting along. You might even say that they enjoy spending time with one another! It is so much better than the constant picking and teasing that takes place when they get a little bit older.

Baby Center explains that 12 months of age is when toddlers really start interacting with others besides their immediate parents. By 18 months, they can start making other playmates!

The little girl in the video was just starting to approach that window. She and her brother were quickly becoming great friends.

Although, all that waiting to see each other was driving her crazy.

After about a minute, she started swaying and pacing around. She was starting to get a little anxious. The whole time though, her eyes firmly remained affixed to the school’s entrance.

Then, finally, it happened.

Just when the girl thought that she would never get to see her brother again, he came strolling out.

The proud older brother knew just what to do.

He grabbed her little hand and led her along with him over to their mom, both of them with big smiles on their faces.

Although, that wasn’t the end of the cuteness.

Seconds later, the big brother bent down to his sister’s level and plopped a big old kiss right on her cheek.

It melted our hearts to see it. It was an incredible display of familial love. We can only hope that as they continue to get older, they still remain just as caring and appreciative of each other as they are now.

It’s safe to say that, so far, the mom is doing a really great job. Both of her kids have two of the biggest hearts in the world.
