Watching your baby go through the teething process is tough on a parent. No one likes to see their little one uncomfortable, so parents will do just about anything to provide relief for their teething babies.

Now there are many products on the market to help teething babies but one mom’s hack is going viral.

Emelia Jackson has the perfect trick for soothing a teething baby. All she does is fill up a pacifier with some water and tosses it in the freezer. Seems pretty obvious but sometimes some of the best solutions are the simplest.

Here’s what she wrote on Facebook:

“Mom hack:
If your babies are teething, mamas put water in your soothie and then put it in the freezer for a couple hours. Seriously a life saver for teething mamas. He was so content with his cold binky.

EDIT: Since there are so many people freaking out thinking my little man is drinking the water,I want to show you that there is NO hole in this binky. And absolutely NO way for the baby to get the water.”

The frozen pacifier works to continuously numb aching pain on a baby by cooling their gums. According to Baby Center, babies will sprout their first teeth between 4 and 7 months old. During this time your child can experience drooling, irritability, swollen and sensitive gums, gnawing or chewing, refusing to eat, trouble sleeping and other symptoms.

They offer the following tips for helping to make your baby feel better during this time:

  • Chill teething ring or washcloth and let your child chew on it
  • Rub your baby’s gums firmly and gently to temporarily ease pain
  • Feed your baby cold food like applesauce or yogurt
  • Give your baby teething biscuits
  • Ask your doctor if you should give your child acetaminophen or ibuprofen
  • Emelia’s post went viral and was shared more than 114,093 times on Facebook.

“Teething is a bitch, let’s just be honest,” she told Scary Mommy. “So if you can find these cheap, easy hacks then why not? Us mamas got to stick together, so I’m glad it’s helped a few people.”

Many parents tagged each other in the post.

“Will this give the baby a brain freeze?” one Facebook commenter said.

“Such a good idea. Im so doing this when Macy starts teething,” said another.
