When babies see boobs, they see lunch. Unlike they’re adult counterparts who’ve sexualized this body part, babies just view them as meal tickets.
That’s because a lot of children breastfeed. And when babies are hungry, that’s when they’ll look for a boob.
One toddler in Walmart was so hungry that she didn’t care whose boob it was. It didn’t have to be her mom’s. Emmy just wanted some milk and any boob would do.
She didn’t even go for an actual boob. She spotted some flesh-colored bras on a rack and tried to nurse from that. That’s when the baby’s mother, Erika from Dayton, Ohio, whipped out her phone to video her 14-month-old in the act.
The video shows the little toddler approaching the bra and squeezing it.
She seemed to notice something wasn’t quite right and that there wasn’t much boob in these boobies. Still, Emmy was hungry and desperate to get some milk so she kept squeezing.
Emmy loves to play in the laundry at home so mom didn’t think much of it when she started walking around the clothing section.
It’s something she often does when she goes to the store. But then the little girl started to bury her face into the bra.
“What are you doing? That’s not me. What are you doing?” mom tells her daughter.
But the baby diligently continues to try and get something out of those boobs.
“There’s no food in there,” Erika says.
By then some other people in the store have caught on and are laughing hysterically.
This could be her dad Craig.
The baby stops and turns around to see who she is amusing.
Then she goes right back to squeezing that bra and opens up her mouth wide.
Her mom once again has to remind her of the reality that bra is a dry one and there are no boobs with milk inside.
The little girl just keeps at it mushing her face around the bra looking for a nipple to latch onto it.
But of course, there isn’t one.
Live Science reports that: “Newborn babies can’t do much, but place them on their mom’s chest and they’ll instinctively gravitate to the nipple, to breast-feed. But how do newborns know to do this? A new study from Italy suggests that one reason newborns are drawn to the nipple is because it is slightly warmer than the surrounding skin. A higher nipple temperature could make it easier for a newborn to find it and could help explain the phenomenon of newborns just minutes old who somehow clamber up to the nipple, which researchers refer to as “breast crawl.”
So where’s there’s warmth on boobs, there’s milk. But Emmy knows that.
“Emmy, where’s the boobie?” mommy asks.
Emy points to the bra.
She’s only half right but mommy still coos at her, “Yeahhh!”
Since her mom confirmed it was a boob, Emmy becomes even more determined.
She dives down with her mouth open wide and goes at the bra mouth first trying to get something to eat.
This makes mom laugh hysterically.
Poor kid is just hungry with everyone laughing at her.
I’m sure mommy fed her child soon enough after that.
Mom and dad also ended up putting that video on social media where it ended up going viral.
More than 2.3 million people watched that video and thought that it was simply hilarious.
