“This is what a predator looks like.”
An understandably upset mother uttered these words to a man she said was watching her 12-year-old daughter change in the Rue 21 dressing room in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The video was taken by the mom, Doris, after she had tracked him down with the help of some bystanders.
“Not today.”
As she records, you can hear Doris describing what took place.
“I caught this guy underneath my daughter’s stall while she was changing at Rue 21…and I had to chase him all the way down. Thankfully I got him. Not today buddy…not today.” – Fox13NewsUtah
She had just been gone a minute.
Doris had just left her daughter to grab another item.
When she returned, she found the man lying on his back under the stall attempting to take a video of her daughter changing.
She didn’t want this to happen ever again to any other girl.
“I’m going to make sure your face gets out so that you’re not in any more stalls looking under little girls dressing.” – Fox 13 News Utah.
He refused to look at her.
“I’m going to make sure you go viral.”
This mama bear lets the guy know exactly how she feels. She gets even more emotional as she talks directly to him about her daughter.
She asks him some very important questions but gets no answers.
“A 12-year-old girl? That’s what she gets for her birthday? It’s her birthday in two days …Do you have kids?” – Fox13NewsUtah
“I’m going to lose it.”
Mom continues filming and turns the camera on herself. She is visibly shaken and upset at what has just happened to her and her daughter.
This is one strong mom to witness something like this happening to her child and be able to run after the person at fault.
She wasn’t about to let him do this to any other child.
The event ends in an arrest.
The police were called to the scene where the man was being held. He was later identified as 36-year-old Jorge Leon-Alfaro.
When Doris had caught him taking the video of her daughter she took off after him. She wasn’t the least bit afraid to run after him for violating her daughter’s privacy.
It was because of her that the police were able to arrest him so fast.
A mom’s vigilance.
Any parent would most likely do the same in this situation. We all want nothing more than to protect our children from people that might hurt them physically and/or emotionally.
Leon-Alfaro was arrested by Salt Lake City police and stood in court on felony charges of voyeurism of a child under the age of 14.
