It’s pretty common for homeowners to call out a technician when they’re having troubles around their house.

But this generally only applies to fixing appliances, services, and other things to do with the home like plumbing or electricity.

What’s not common is for a technician to fix the trajectory of your entire day.

Robert is no ordinary technician, though.

A South Carolina mom was astounded by her internet technician’s kindness.

She posted her story online and it’s since brought a smile to people’s faces.

Robert, a Spectrum Internet technician ended up changing the family’s day around.

The mother of the family, Jessica Nash Donnahoo, took to Facebook to share her particularly heart-warming experience.

It was very well-received.

Robert was stopping by the family’s house to upgrade their internet and get their TV streaming started.

It shouldn’t have been too big of a deal, right?

Except that family was actually having a not-so-great day.

They were dealing with a meltdown.

In her Facebook post, Jessica explained:

“My son, Sailor, is three years old. He was born with two rare brain defects and he is blind.”

The mom continued to explain that Sailor isn’t able to communicate his needs, and on that day in particular he was having a really tough time.

She tried to help him while also taking on several other household tasks — taking care of her daughter, cleaning, doing laundry, etc. All while her husband was working.

Jessica wrote:

“He has been crying all morning. I’ve been trying to soothe him while also meeting the needs of my two year old daughter, cleaning, washing dishes, and doing laundry while my husband works. It’s just been a tough day.”

When Robert walked in, Sailor ran up to him and reached up.

And he wasn’t bothered by it.

Instead, he catered to him and held him on and off for the whole 45 minutes that he was in their home.

Robert was the angel she needed.

He snuggled him close and held him, which finally gave Jessica the time she needed to fold laundry and handle other household chores.

Momma was tired, and while Robert could have just rushed through his job, he decided to stay and put true love and care into it.

He truly helped the family in more ways than one.

The exhausted mom was beyond grateful.

“Robert could have walked in, rushed, and left but instead he saw a need greater than internet and met it. That’s beyond customer service- it’s humanity at its best. Robert deserves a raise… a promotion… something! He’s an asset to your company and I will never forget his kindness.”

We definitely agree that Robert deserves acknowledgment after this wonderful act, and it seems like the rest of the world agrees.

Jessica’s Facebook racked up hundreds of thousands of “likes” and shares.

The story went viral.

Everyone was in agreement about just how sweet this was.

Robert, who’s a parent himself, told FOX Carolina News:

“I didn’t really know that it was having as big of an impact as it did. I didn’t look at him as a child with special needs or anything like that, any type of disability. He was just a kid that wanted to be picked up, and as a father, that wasn’t a problem to me.”

Isn’t this one of the most beautiful yet simple acts of compassion.

All parents could use help sometimes, but we would never see it coming from someone who’s just there to fix the internet.

There’s no doubt that Robert is a blessing to many. This time it just got caught on camera.
