When Chloe Dunstan of Perth, Australia, and her hubby Rohan “Ro” learned several years ago they were expecting a fourth baby with kiddos under foot ages 3, 2 and 1, they were thrilled despite how young their children were.

So imagine their surprise when they learned that her fourth pregnancy would be bringing triplets into the world!

Chloe, then 22, and her husband Ro, then 26, were about to become parents of six kiddos under the age of three: Evan, 3, Otto, 2, and Felix, 1. The triplets, Pearl, Rufus and Hank, were born three months early because Pearl was being deprived of oxygen and she wasn’t getting enough nutrients.

The doctors feared she wouldn’t survive.

Chloe was told to proceed with the pregnancy and deliver two healthy baby boys. Her baby girl would die in utero.

Instead, Chloe decided to deliver all three babies early at 28 weeks. They were tiny and required blood transfusions.

It was a rough road for Pearl, but in the end, they all emerged as little fighters.

“I feel guilty for having the boys delivered when they were growing so well in the womb. But Pearl would have died if we didn’t deliver early, so I will never regret that. Pearl had a PDA in her heart that closed on its own. She had a pulmonary hemorrhage, a minor brain bleed, she fought a horrible infection and there were days we weren’t sure if she would make it, especially the early weeks when she was on a ventilator. She had something called metabolic bone disease which resolved with medication. The main ongoing issue was her liver, as she was very jaundice for the whole time she was in hospital.”

After the rollercoaster ride Chloe embarked upon with the triplets and the uncertainty surrounding their health, she had her tubes tied following their delivery.

But on Mother’s Day 2020, she shocked all of her social media followers with huge news.

She was pregnant! And with twins!

Chloe, now 27, is due in November. She explained that she and her husband decided to undergo a tubal ligation reversal instead of IVF because she “regretted having them tied.”

“…I wanted to restore my fertility. We are so very excited for this new chapter in our lives. Our hearts are so full. We are all really excited to grow from a family of eight to a family of 10.”

The mom from Down Under admitted that it feels strange being pregnant with twins when she’s already carried triplets. Their followers were over the moon happy for the couple, like Kelsey Lovelock.

“The best news of all! I can’t believe you are having twins after triplets!”

The Dunstans started their YouTube channel four years ago, sharing snippets of their lives with triplets and six kids total. They also have an online store and receive advertising and endorsement revenue from their YouTube channel and social media platforms.

Chloe captured the cutest video of the kids’ reactions that she shared on her YouTube channel after sharing the big news with them. She asked the three oldest if they wanted to know about a special secret.

One kiddo guessed it right off the bat!

They seemed quite excited with the news Chloe shared. One of the triplets asked if it was a “food baby” and Chloe can be heard off-camera cracking up.
