For those of you who are big fans of The Little Couple, there’s a big change on the horizon.
Dr. Jen Arnold and Bill Klein are coming back to reality TV for their 9th consecutive season, but their show won’t be based in Houston, Texas, anymore. Gone are the days when Jen acted as the medical director of the Simulation center at Texas Children’s Hospital and taught as the Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology at Baylor College of Medicine.
Jen has accepted a new position at John Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg Florida, so the whole family, including their adopted children, six-year-old Will Klein and five-year-old Zoey Klein, will be starring in their show from the sunshine state.
Jen Arnold, Bill Klein, and their family have had their own reality TV show on The Learning Channel (TLC) since 2009; their show has been credited with raising awareness about the perspective of people born with skeletal dysplasia, or dwarfism.
They’ve already moved to Florida and are enjoying their new beach-side lifestyle.
“I don’t want summer to end!” Jen posted on her Instagram. “This has been a summer of wonderful Florida memories!”
In addition to Jen’s new career and a major change of scenery, fans of The Little Couple can expect fresh developments from the 9th season. After all, with their children getting older, Jen and Bill are facing new parenting challenges every day. These include the family’s first international trip to the United Kingdom, a vacation in Vermont, and more day-to-day challenges like teaching the children to watch their language.
“They’ve both become more independent,” Jen said in a teaser for the 9th season. “It’s definitely hard being a parent, but that’s expected.”
From what you can see in the teaser, Jen and Bill’s children have more personality than ever. William is shown in a martial arts robe, speeding across a room and diving onto what looks like a kickboxing bag. It teeters over under is weight, and he crawls on top of it, tackling it and beating it with his fists.
Zoey, the five-year-old, easy matches William’s feistiness.
“Let me talk!” she demands from her interview chair. She and her brother sit next to each other for much of the teaser, competing for the camera’s attention and dropping hilarious one-liners.
