It’s often said but it is true. Mothers are perhaps the toughest, most resilient, and most loving people on the planet. Men think they’re all tough and macho but growing, carrying, and giving birth to a baby takes way more toughness.
That’s nine months of checkups, medication as needed, and a whole lot of patience until women go in to labor.
What’s funny is that it’s usually the men who panic first when her water breaks.
But once a woman gives birth, love and tears of happiness fill the room. Even the new dad starts crying. Then the newborn does something totally unexpected, like cling to his new mom.
Such was the moment when this exhausted but happy mom found her newborn holding on to her face.
There’s just nothing more precious, nothing more adorable, than witnessing a moment like this. Mom looks tired, understandably so, but the smile on her face is a glow of pure love.
See, a woman’s body goes through astonishing changes from the moment she finds out she’s pregnant up until birth. It’s not easy and her moods and energy can vary depending on each woman.
All that for the new life growing inside of her.
Okay let’s not be too harsh with dads. They’re tasked with working to provide for his new family, plus taking care of all the new mom needs. She can’t always be doing housework now!
Let’s include include back pain, heartburn, water retention, varicose veins, having to go to the toilet a lot, or sleep problems.
It’s all worth it as this mom and her newborn prove!
They say newborns are alert and receptive immediately so it really is the perfect time for baby and mom to bond. And the power of physical affection comes into play here.
Mom and her newborn have over 27 million views which means people all over the world got caught in their moment as well.
Her newborn even cries out causing mom to open her eyes and smile. But then again those doctors and nurses were surely smiling themselves. Dad must have been holding back tears!
Even Raising Children say that affection is the way to go.
“Warm, gentle affection makes your newborn feel safe and builds your bond. You can also build your bond through your interactions with your newborn – for example, when you give your newborn things to look at, listen to and feel. This gets your newborn’s brain working and makes it grow.”
Lots and lots of hugs and kisses!
These are moments that seem to stop time, and even the entire universe puts everything on hold just to allow a mother and her newborn to bond.
It’s the first of many too!
And when mom is brought back to her recovery room and the baby is placed under the nurse’s care, mom and dad are constantly thinking of their little one, excited to see and hold their baby once again.
