If you’re a mom or dad, likely you appreciate a good parenting hack. After all, since there’s no guidebook with answers to the millions of little things, sometimes we have to improvise!

There’s no doubt that health and safety are always the #1 top priority with kids. But when it comes to the other 10 plates you’re juggling in the air being a parent – please, we’ll take that bag of tricks.

Baby hacks are floating around the internet, and it seems like every day people are finding new brilliant solutions to make parenting (slightly) easier.

We’ve seen a set of parents who help their baby go to sleep in under a minute with a tissue. The dad in the photo below gives his kids unplugged video game controllers (so he can continue playing).

One creative solution that went viral also had the internet cracking up too. It didn’t even come from an experienced parent or grandparent either.

Claudia Sorhaindo is a proud mom, and at the time of the “trick,” her daughter Ava was just a baby. One day, she asked her niece J’Ann if she could babysit for a little while…

While J’Ann was watching Baby Ava she ran into a slight problem.

As a parent or caregiver, it can be difficult if there’s a task that needs to get done – but there’s a baby that needs holding. Really, an extra six pairs of hands would be nice at times!

Young J’Ann ran into this issue during the short period of time she was babysitting Ava. She wanted to make a sandwich, yet, didn’t want to let the little one “out of her sight.” So, she got creative…

Claudia wasn’t even gone long before she received a text with a couple of photos from back home.

They showed her niece’s brilliant solution so that she could watch Ava and make a yummy sandwich too.

Instead of using a bouncer, playpen, or stroller – J’Ann came up with her own idea.

Claudia’s niece was wearing shorts at the time with an elastic band. So, she used them to her advantage and made a cozy DIY baby carrier. Ava’s tiny feet could pop out at the bottoms and the elastic kept her as snug as a bug.

After mom Claudia saw the photos of J’Ann’s (comical but brilliant?) baby hack, she decided to share them on Facebook.

And we’re really glad she did…

In her post she wrote:

“So I had to run out the house for a quick min, so I asked my niece to babysit Baby Ava. A few min later I received a text saying that J’Ann wanted to make a sandwich but didn’t want to let baby Ava out of her sight. Lord send help this was her solution 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 like really 😜😂😂😂😂😂 creativity at its finest 😂”

There isn’t a perfect parent in this world and there’s no magic rule book filled with magic answers (darn). Even J’Ann knew as a babysitter that sometimes you have to think outside the box. And going from Claudia’s other adorable photos of Baby Ava, she turned out to be more than just fine after the hack!
