During the first few days and weeks of a baby’s life, they are the most vulnerable. Their tiny little bodies have just entered the world and are getting used to their new environment. This is a precious moment in time that should most certainly be documented.
Some parents go picture crazy using their phones, posting every facial expression and milestone on Facebook. Others decide to go a more professional route by hiring a photographer. There certainly is no right or wrong way to preserve these sweet and innocent moments.
One photographer, named Aoife Millea takes photos for Cleare Photography in Ireland — her specialty is photographing newborns, capturing these first moments. Move over, Anne Geddes!
Her pictures of newborns are anything but ordinary — in fact, they’re quite extraordinary.
Aoife’s photos are the sweetest and cutest pictures of newborn babies that you’ll ever see.
There’s no way you can look at her photos without saying “aww…”
Aoife is known for gently dressing up the newborn in adorable outfits and letting them sleep soundly on a bean bag.
While the babies are sleeping soundly, Aoise snaps her lens — capturing the newborn at its most peaceful.
She will then spend time out in the world taking photos of great scenery and backdrops — eventually photoshopping the costumed sleeping baby into amazing scenarios.
Her beautiful pictures are beyond swoon-worthy.
I would imagine that having photos like these of your newborn would be a treasure that parents would cherish for life.
According to a fellow website, Aoife was asked why she does what she does — her response was beautiful:
“I wanted to create unique fun images that would hopefully make people smile, especially their parents.”
