Parents, especially mothers, have a lot to say about it.

The question that parents always need to consider is a tough one:

“Which bathroom do I take my kid who is differently gendered than me?”

For dads, the question can be even MORE difficult, especially when you realize that most men’s rooms don’t even have changing stations at all!

When it’s time for a fresh diaper, however, it doesn’t matter how you feel about it, you have to do something and FAST!

For one man, that problem is a source of pride. Muhammed Nitoto has recently gotten popular on social media for his confidence in choosing which bathrooms to take his two daughters to.

Muhammed and his two daughters, Zendaya and Zuri, had a bad experience in the men’s bathroom and vowed never to go back.

Muhammed has no issues with going to the men’s bathrooms by himself. When he realized he had to take his daughters in, however, his entire mental changed.

“Now I’ve been to a men’s bathroom millions of times but walking in with your daughter makes you look at it completely different,” he wrote on Instagram

Taking his daughters with him had put new eyes on him.

Even worse, the way that they had set up the changing table was atrocious. It was set directly next to the urinals so that men peeing were literally next to the girls as they were changed. It was likely an uncomfortable event for ALL involved.

“Men’s bathrooms are DISGUSTING. They smell like pee and nothing is set up for a woman or a person with a child. The changing table was right next to the urinal which means my child literally would be next to where men pee while she’s being charged. Not to mention that there are men going in and out while you’re in there.” – Upworthy

Ideally, he takes his daughters to the family restrooms when available… but they aren’t always available.

When they aren’t, his choice is the women’s room! The most important thing for him, however, is being respectful.

“I try to be as respectful to women as I can while doing so which consists of knocking on the door before entering and announcing myself. Making sure if someone is inside that they know I am a dad coming in with his daughter and making sure they are comfortable with that,” he wrote.

For many women, this is all that’s needed for them to totally understand.

His actions have earned him some pretty big social media numbers and dads and moms alike seem to TOTALLY understand.

Mothers especially seem to understand the desire to take little girls into the women’s restroom and don’t have any problems with it. One woman said:

Amazing Dad, NOT ONLY do I 100% agree with your choice for the Galz Bathroom with your little girls…but…I am going to pretend YOU were my Dad growing up, lol

At the end of the day, they are just cleaner and way more approachable for his little girls! One day, when men’s bathrooms are cleaner and designed around dads, things might be different. Until then, into the Galz room Muhammed goes!
